Here's an interesting article I found concering the Republican party and the majority of its member's beliefs. Some of them aren't that bad, some of them are scary.

[QUOTE="Genetic_Code"...Sarah Palin is more qualified than President Obama.
I lol'd pretty hard. It doesn't matter if you're conservative or liberal, simple observations should show you Sarah Palin is completely incompetent on every level.
I saw this polling. It made me worry for the future of this country.nocoolnamejimdon't worry majority of republicans are over the 50 mark. Not too long until their number drop drastically. Also a growing minority voting block should insured that they never hold much power in the future.
Wow. :| I don't know what to say. I guess that is what happens when old hags stuck on outdated and old beliefs are running the governement. *Note I'm not bashing the Republican Party, just the people currently running it*
Well if those results are accurate, then I'm glad I do not live in the US where a party like that could be the ruling one.
I don't think those are scary...i'm scared lots of people think they're scary..

What do you not find scary about this?? The lies these people believe are unbelievable.
Glad I'm moving to Canada in a few years.

Well, the only thing i find a bit odd is the gay thing..i don't really understand why that would be opposed..
And I could say the same for liberals..

You don't think that it is a bit troubling that a significant number of republicans believe that - say - Obama is aligned with and rooting for "the terrorists"; which would mean that he is essentially a traitor, or that he is an illegal immigrant, thus an illegitimate president?[QUOTE="Xx_Hopeless_xX"][QUOTE="PeaceChild90"]

Wow, over 70% thought you shouldn't be able to have a job in a school if you're gay :? That's just shamefully ignorant.

That's still a lot of people. That number should be close to 0.
20% is a LOT of people, plus look at how many were 'unsure'. The common-sense answer to that question is flat-out 'no'.IT doesn't say that though. 21 out of 101 said "Yes" to that question.

24% believe that he is guilty of treason - that's a sliver less than one out of every four republicans. That's a very significant amount. And then when asked if they believe that Obama was born in the U.S., 36% answered "No." That's a bit more than one out of every three republicans - again, a very significant amount.[QUOTE="Snipes_2"][QUOTE="-Sun_Tzu-"] You don't think that it is a bit troubling that a significant number of republicans believe that - say - Obama is aligned with and rooting for "the terrorists"; which would mean that he is essentially a traitor, or that he is an illegal immigrant, thus an illegitimate president?-Sun_Tzu-

I think anything over 45% would be overwhelming. Whatever.
That's not an opinion at all, it's a statistical fact. When asked whether Obama wants the terrorists to win, less than half of Republicans answered 'no'. There is no denying that that is just plain troubling.Well, That's your opinion. I think anything over 45% would be overwhelming. Whatever.

Yes this is an incredibly accurate poll....and no there is not a trace of sarcasm in this response..... :|Omni-Slash
Well, people could register as whatever they want..i'm sure more then one ass voted for something ridiculous..

IT's his opinion on an "Overwhelming Number". 43% said "No", that's more than double the amount that said "Yes".
The fact that so many think homosexuals are not fit to teach is disgusting. The fact so many think birth control is abortion is stunningly stupid.
And the fact so many think Sarah Palin is qualified to even run a dairy queen is scary.
Didn't the republican party used to be more about fiscal conservatism and not social conservatism? Whatever happened to that?
*sigh* To a question for which the answer is a painfully obvious 100% 'no', having less than half answer no is a very serious problem. It is not an opinion, it's a statistical fact. If i asked 2003 people whether the sun will come up tomorrow and less than half answer 'yes' that is an overwhelmingly bad figure.IT's his opinion on an "Overwhelming Number". 43% said "No", that's more than double the amount that said "Yes".

The republican party under Bush took a really worrying, unwarranted and generally unfavourable swing towards evangelism. The fact that so many think homosexuals are not fit to teach is disgusting. The fact so many think birth control is abortion is stunningly stupid.

Judging by your other post, after this one. What's "Obvious" to you may not be so obvious to others.
"statistical fact"= OXYMORON......seriously people...statisitics can be bent and manipulated to get whatever you want...if you haven;t learned that by now there is no help for you...this poll is oviously a sham.....I know many evil conservatives and strangely enough they don't agree with most anything on this poll...except that maybe Palin would have been a much better president than the waste of space Obama is atm.....Omni-Slash

Which is sad when the party has basically become the evangelical party. Which, constitutionally shouldn't even be allowed to exist, far as I'm concerned.

my sig changes whenever you refresh the page....Which is sad when the party has basically become the evangelical party. Which, constitutionally shouldn't even be allowed to exist, far as I'm concerned.
excluding a group of people creating a political party based on their religion is pretty much goes against everything this country stands for....Please Log In to post.
