I dont know why, but it sounds so noble, confident, and wise. Maybe not the name of some smart, intelligent scientist, but definately the name of an author or philosopher or a chef.

you're a musical genius! i wish i had the work ethic to practice piano as much as you. even if i do it feels like i'm not improving at all.
I have a significant musical talent, but I do not consider myself a genius. My accomplishments as a musician have much more to do with my work ethic than my raw ability. And again, you NEED a teacher if you're serious about improving as a cIassical musician. It just isn't realistic for a person to expect significant improvement without proper guidance at the point you're at in your development. You can practice eight hours a day, but if you're not doing the right sort of work, a person who is doing the right sort of work will accomplish more in a couple of hours than you do in eight.
