I have both. Actually, I have a tablet, netbook, and laptop. I much prefer the latter two.

Tablets have their uses such as watching a video while I wait for a haircut in a barber shop. For content creation? Nah.

Technically a netbook. I think the Acer netbook are ideal for music, movies, and legacy/portable gaming. AND it connects with any TV with just an HDMI cord.

I prefer to use a tablet. Though my use is perfectly covered by a tablet with an additional keyboard to it.

Neither. Nothing beats a desktop, and an actual keyboard. I can't do tablets or laptops. But if i had no choice, Laptop.

Laptop hands down. Tablets are nice; they have their own niche, but at the end of the day nothing compares to actual computing.

It totally depends on what I'm using it for. Laptops are easy but I use both. Tablets for books and comics, laptop for everything else.

Laptop. I need something with a real Os and good power. The surface would be a great compromise as it's quite powerful and has full windows 10 but it's too expensive for me not nowhere near enough storage.

Well of course, but desktop was not one of the options...

Btw water cooling beats air cooling :P

Is that your case? If so, quite nice. I've been toying with the idea of making one like that myself... Or something similar to the pictured I included. Maybe when I upgrade the CPU/mobo combo I'll get around to it.

Most of my tablet usage consist of watching videos and playing a handful of games. I also use it for video calls and as a backup digital camera.

My laptop and netbook handle the above plus content creation. Both have similar functions with the laptop having a bigger 14" screen (vs 10.1") and can handle beefier gaming (FC3, FC4, GTA V) than the netbook.

My (2.6-3.2 Ghz dualcore with HT i5 3230m) laptop is my primary PC whenever we travel or visit relatives out of state. So, I keep it in sync with my desktop PC whenever possible.

My (1.5 Ghz dualcore with HT Atom N550) netbook is simply a smaller, less capable version of my laptop. I could do without it. It was sitting dormant. But, the installation of Windows 10 made it useful again. I take it along instead of the tablet if I have class projects to work on and I'm not home. It'll fit in the same portfolio I keep my tablet in.

Well there are moments that the tablet is superior in every way like on those times when you gotta go to where the king goes by himself a tablet is much more convenient than a laptop and better than a magazine/newspaper/book. I own the the three ( tablet, laptop and desktop ) and feel each has it´s advantages; but if I had no option I would pick a laptop.

Same here, I use my tablet when I'm the go for books and basic web browsing! When I'm at home I use my laptop for running my video and music editing programs.

Laptops are superior in many ways. I have both. The gap is shrinking though. Tablets are becoming quite versatile now running full Windows and are far more portable and energy efficient than laptops.

I guess I would say tablet, just because I rarely use my laptop unless I'm traveling and need to write up some homework. Most of my time is spent on my desktop though. My tablet is essentially used as a fancy textbook. I have digital versions of all my books loaded onto it, and I'll use it to watch some Netflix between classes, or when laying down in bed at night.
