Stone Cold is one of the very few wrestlers that command total respect.topsemag55I've actually heard that. Stone Cold is supposedly extremely respected in the wrestling world where as the Rock...not so much.

Stone Cold and The Rock are from another era.... not sure if your serious?

He's like the Sergeant Major in a war that you'd follow through the gates of Hell type of respect. Indeed, the Rock was good he had charisma and knew how to win the fans. He made quite a performance on the ring But Stone Cold is a Legend. I think what would sum him up best is "The badass guy that all kids wanted to be some day" Seriously, who opens beers right on the ring and pours them on the face after pwning some guy's ass? How cool is that?![QUOTE="topsemag55"]Stone Cold is one of the very few wrestlers that command total respect.topsemag55
I chose The Rock. I like Stone Cold but I've always liked The Rock A LOT more. I like the things he says and when he stared epicly at others with his shades! Ah Man I miss those days...

justintv is also pretty good for classic wrestling if you dont feel like finding a new link after every match.
Im sorry but that is a great breakdown of both wrestlers. The Rock sold moves(towards him) very well. When he gets a stunner, he adds alot to it. Stone Cold will be probally be must remember for dishing out a billion stunners, beer and abusing authority, but his overall in the ring peformance was top notch. In defense of The Rock, he was still a great in-ring performer. Everything from his hand motions to his signature moves was characterized perfectly and he could draw huge heat or pops with the slightest gesture. His wrestling skills (bad Sharpshooter aside) were actually pretty darn good in comparison to most main eventers of his time.

That being said, Austin still was the better technician. Very underrated in that aspect. People always remember him for slamming beers, throwing middle fingers and dishing out stunners, but forget that he was a pretty good grappler.
[QUOTE="the_phenom_"]I personally perfer The Rock, but Austin did more for the wrestling buisness since he was one of the main guys to start the WWE's attitude era.PSP107who's the guy on your avatar?
Alberto Del Rio..... WWE Champion
I think the Deadman could take em both, in his prime.AllicrombieFor some reason, I thought you said that you could take on the Deadman. lol
H.H.H. Just sayin..I am not asking which one do you think would win in a wrestling match, Im instead asking which one did you prefer back in the good ol' days of wrestling?

The rock was a beast on the mic, but I have to give a slight edge to Austin, in particular because of how successfully he switched to heel during the "invasion" era. Him and kurt ad some very memorable matches and that was the last time I could stand to watch it. The rock was too goofy/cheesy for his own good and it was difficult to ever take him seriously as a heel.

It doesn't matter what you think!!
WHATBut Rock heel run during his Nation of Domination/Corporation days were good. His 2003 heel was just stupid. The rock was a beast on the mic, but I have to give a slight edge to Austin, in particular because of how successfully he switched to heel during the "invasion" era.
