Thoughts?
I feel like it is almost a self parody at this point. Rise of Skywalker? The RISE?! Can we let the Skywalker family rest in peace and move to something else.
And yupie, Sidious is coming back. I might wait for this one come out in Blu-ray before checking it out.
Darth Reddit becomes a good guy, slays evil ghost palptine, Luke still alive, and no longer bitter, movie pauses, voice over of Kathleen Kennedy apologizing for pink hair lady?
But hey, love Palp, even if it's garbo and he's there for 20 sec watch it.

-C3PO

-Palpatine
If I don't get to see Jar Jar once after three movies I'm gonna be pissed!
@R4gn4r0k: Don't make jokes, it could happen. Darth Maul was at the end of Solo.
Oh yeah, another reference (that will never pay off).
But I was mainly counting the main line star wars movies.
I just need Jar Jar as a background character somewhere.

Darth Maul was actually developed and had a conclusion in the Clone War/Rebels tv-show. Even though Disney kiddy-fied it somewhat with Rebels, most of this shit in these 2 shows is better than anything post-original trilogy.
Putting him in there was dumb though, anyone who doesn't follow the shows, will just be left in the dark. They just put him there for, basically dumb people who fap anything starwars related. Those horrible people in audiences who clap, and woo!
Unrelated (or I guess it is), Emilia Clarke is a terrible actress. I've never watched GOT, but between this and her little girl Sarah Conner, she is just, awful.
Not even in the slightest bit interested. With where they left the characters in the last film I have absolutely no interest in their resolution. They’re boring, gutted, soulless.
This new trilogy has an extremely strong sense of a lack of cohesive vision or purpose. It’s like they’re simply throwing shit into the pot, mixing it up, sprinkling cool special effects shots and set pieces, cue William’s-esque score.....and who the hell knows what it’ll be. At this point I don’t care. These aren’t Star Wars films. They’re mediocre films piggybacking on a legend for their success.
So she is a Skywalker now?! LOL
So she's Luke's daughter or nephew? Lol I have no idea what's going on.
@watercrack445: nah I doubt Rey is the Skywalker. Probably referring to Ben Solo or some other crap I just don’t care about anymore lol. This whole trilogy has been as random as a Family Guy episode.
For those who never read Star Wars books right after Return of the Jedi before legends. Palpatine's return was planned as far back as production of TFA. This isn't a result of Rian Johnson missteps and I find it greatly amusing people want to pretend it is.

you'll still end up going watching it
@R4gn4r0k: jar jar fate was mentioned in one of the new continuity novels. I think aftermath.
He ended up on a random world living on the streets, spending his time entertaining orphans.
@judaspete: absolutely it will. And the same nerds that hated TLJ. Will hate Skywalker for that reason.
My fan theory is that after the movie there will no longer be Jedi or sith.
I think all force users will simply refer to themselves as Skywalker's from here on out.
"Hey that's a cool Lazer sword, are you a Skywalker?"
@uninspiredcup: I've only seen her in GoT and Solo, both roles she was great in. I lie she was also in Terminator Genesis and she wasn't great in that, but mostly because she looked to young for the role. I'd love to see a sequel to Solo with her reprising her role and seeing where the Darth Maul cameo would lead to.

My thoughts as well. Either that, or the title refers to Ben Solo embracing his lineage and the light side of the Force. But even the sloppy new trilogy wouldn't resort to such a title unless it had a deeper meaning and twist to it.

Yeah but that actually makes sense, Go watch The Clone Wars and Rebels to see what's going on with Maul, it's arguably one of the best storylines in canon Star Wars.
@Master_Live: Nah didn't do it for me. Especially now since I learned(if the leak turns out to be true) how things go. The cringe worthy acrobatics of Rey set the tone. I cannot get excited. We know Rey can do no wrong or be defeated. Where's the fun in that?
