All Time Low covered "Umbrella" by Rihanna, and I think it's so much better.

I actually love this version, it makes me feel so great.

So do you think any covers are better than the original? If so, link them bad boys!

Gah, I love both versions. Something about Trent's voice just makes NIN's version win the battle, though.

There's this underground band called The Outlaw that covered Heartless by Kanye and it's so freaking epic. I can't find it anywhere on the internet, only my radio station every so often. Must be a local band.

Lacuna Coil's cover of Enjoy the Silence by Depeche Mode is, in my opinion, better than the original.

Surprised no one's brought up All along the Watchtower yet, though I guess it's kind of obvious.

100% agreed. Cash made that song his own, and it became a song about an old man looking back on his life. It doesn't make the original unworthy by any means, but Cash's version was an amazing end to his career... and life.

Uh, Trent said it was the video that made the song better than his, the accompaniment of the two, both the song, and the video.

I will always consider Trent's better, one because I;m biased as hell, and two because his has a denser sound that benefits the song, and I prefer Trent's voice.

Um... in my humble opinion....

Scorpions - Love of My Life

Originally by The Queen.

Its a live performance. Klaus sings it perfectly. Again... in my opinion.

Hey don't worry about it, any mention of Nine Inch Nails on these forums is a good thing. Before I came here there was little talk of Mr.Reznor.

And three, without the rest of the Downward Spiral, the song loses a good deal of its meaning.

And I'm not exactly saying better, though Josh and Troy are superior guitarists, Queens of the Stone Age's Christian Brothers. Originally done by the late and oh so great Elliott Smith.

Try and find the cover, its great in a really bizzare way. Beautiful South also covered Dont Fear the reaper by Blue Oyster cult and gave it a Latin Dance sound, and they covered Blitzcrieg Bop and turned it into a weird pop song with a girl singing.

Although Kamelot changed this song A LOT its not really fair to call it a cover when they put so much effort into it.
