Today at school I discovered that 2 of my teachers play world of warcraft. One of them is lv 61 and the other one is a lv 70 dwarf. The wierdest thing is that they are both in their mid forties and probably should be too busy to bother playing WOW. Well explains why they're both strange.

1. They probably have a social life, you know, out of school?

2. As long as they're responsible to juggle their personal life with work (These are adults here you know)

I don't see why they can't

although everyone should be careful while playing WOW, it's addictive as drugs. one moment you try out the game because all your friends say it's cool, the other moment you are scrambling your mother's purse in order to buy that powerfull sword online

I sort of think that there are quite a few people in their 40's that still play video games, and to me WOW or just about any other "adult" game seems logical.  I remember when I was in school and there was a teacher that played Magic the Gathering which I found pretty strange, but atleast it wasn't yu-gi-oh, or pokemon that would of probably been really weird.

Sure, why not? Teachers aren't some special species or anything; they're just people like everyone else. It's like asking if adults should play video games. I'm an adult and I play video games all the time, as do millions of others...

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with it. If I was a teacher that had to put up with a bunch of students all day, I would say I should be inclined to do whatever I please outside of school hours.

I see nothing wrong in this if they:

1. Not addicted like...uhm...that was one movie at YouTube called "WoW Addcit" - that guy was crazy.

2. They do their normal work and have normal life :)

look the reason I think its strange is most people won't take him sriously anymore. At school you are classified as a nerd if you play warcraft (not videogames just warcraft) I just don't think people will take this guy seriously anymore. They'll be like: he's just a loser who plays WOW

Personally I played WoW for a while and I finally quit. BTW I dont understand why is itso hard for people to quit WoW? I just got bored of the game and quit. Thats it. No long cold sleepless nights shaking in my bed thinking of what level I would be if I hadn't stopped playing.

Anyway, I had a teacher this year and she's about 60 years old and plays WoW. She has about 5 lvl 70 characters and on the first day of school the first thing she did was introduce herself and also introduce us to her 'then' lvl 60 night elf "Bamma". It was weird when she started talking to one of the WoW players in our class about "the best way to make gold" and disscussing the advantages of certain weapons over other ones! She is an english teacher and she would use examples from WoW to teach her lessons like when she would "upgrade sentences" like this"

Hoard is cool.( then she would upgrade it and make it like this) Hoard is cool because they have orcs.

or

Bamma has long ears.(Upgrade to this) Bamma has long ears because she is a Night Elf.

I think there is no problem with teachers playing WoW but I think this was a little TOO extreme.
