Sure you can OD from the first time you shoot up and sure the needles lying around everywhere can give you numerous diseases and sure injecting things into yourself is generally skank, but is it really all that bad? I mean people have fun on it.hagadorn

And murder. That'd save costs for the police because we'd be able to serve our own sweet justice. Wait, that was what you meant, right? I need to sleep. >_>I say we legalize vigilante justice!

wHOA whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa, this isn't my batman cup.
You know what? I move that we abolish all laws altogether. After all, it's been proven by the unanimously undisputed Forbidden Fruit Effect that laws just make people commit more crimes, and since history clearly shows that lawless societies are peaceful utopias (along with the Netherlands recently abolishing laws and still remaining intact), we should just let everything be legal. And then the government (which would no longer exist) could tax it and bring us out of the massive debt we are in from upholding needless things like laws, which have failed completely.

The government has no right to make your life even a little inconvenient in the name of upholding order. Priveleges are rights, not a revocable immunity granted by the government to a restricted group, either by birth or on a conditional basis. Down with the evil, racist fascist government! We has no needs of them, Precious. Wicked, tricksy, false. Dracargen

See, the irony here is that heroin used to be not only legal, but used as a painkiller... and now, morphine, which comes from the same source (opium; well, according to page 40 of my chemistry textbook from high school anyway) is used instead. And according to Penn Jillette, heroin is more than 600 times cheaper than it was before the war on drugs.
Anyway, I think comparing marijuana to heroin is a bit of a weak analogy, seeing as how heroin is an arguably more physically addictive, more serious drug, and more likely to cause crimes involving victims. I have to wonder just what the basis for comparing marijuana to heroin is anyway. If it's that they're both illegal, remember that "legal" is not a chemical property.
That said, though, as with marijuana, a similar distinction should be made between what's wrong with a certain activity and what's wrong with legalizing that activity, and while ultimately the two are related, that doesn't mean your answer to one has to be your answer to the other... I'm on the fence about this one...

Thats pretty crazy, I took Morphine back when I broke my leg and needed surgery, I was about 11, so I would say it was about 7 years ago. I'm sure they are no the same though!

You don't ALWAYS inject heroin. It can be smoked or insufflated too. But legalized? No.
