So, who do you think is going to win the 2012 elections, assuming these two are both candidates?

Sarah Palin has the support of the republican base, while Obama has significant support from the Democrat base, but extreme opposition in the republican side of things.

I personally think it would be Obama under these circumstances, but still, who knows. Post your guess here!

Why would anyone vote for Palin (you know, aside from "I will vote for anyone except Obama" people)?? It's beyond me, really.

It'd take an extraordinarily terrible opponent to make me vote for Palin. Obama is not that extraordinarily terrible.

My God, I would hate to be put in that situation. It would have me literally questioning whether or not to vote at all. It would kill half of my soul to vote for her, even if to prevent Obama from getting reelected.

You might want to take it easy with references to events that happened when most of the people here weren't even born... Just saying...:P

I would vote for Sarah Palin. I don't think she's quite President material, but she seemed to do a good job as Alaskan Governor and she'd be better than Barack Obama.

:P, if their voting, they should know their history. And not all elections are close. What did Mondale win Minnesota? Plus everyone knows my age here, and there's quite a few of us "old farts".

it's a little sickening to say, but I almost hope it comes down to those two in 2012 so Obama could get a sure fire win.

I honestly can't imagine the GOP being stupid enough to put her on the ballot. Maybe if the tea party has their way.

She governed the well fair state of the United States, where the oil company pays every citizen.. And her brief time in office there were eliged scandals to the point she left.. Sarah Palin to me represents the typicalignorant americancitizen that spews out what people liek Rush Limbaughsay, and not her actual own views through research.. Furthermore she seems to be even worse then Bush when it came to unilateralism.. No one should support a president, I don't care from what poltiical party they are from.. Should support a president in which unilateralism is their game.. For those who don't know.. Unilateralism basically is the absolute refusal to make compromise to the point its their way or the high way.. To where war became the firstand only option in Iraq, which goes against every thing we know about warfare as possible, which is condemned by writers as old as Sun Tzu in his philosophy Art of War.. People will try to say Obama was clearly this with the health care bill.. When no he is not.. The Democrat party is far more split on idelogies compared to teh Republicans.. Where he had to appeasedemocrats in name only.. Most southern democrats hold more incommon with the Republican party then the party theyaffiliate with him.. This isn't suggesting Obama is a amazing president.. I will say this, he is a effective politican thus far in swaying opinion to a positive light about the United States when it comes to foriegn policy.. And he has been able to pass a extremely large amount of policies in one of the most hostile political enviroments indecades.. The last time we had this manypoliticans threatenedwith violence was the civil rights movement..

The republican party has done little to distance themselves from the tea party.. IMO they are the living embodiment of the neo conservative movement that took over in large numbers when Bush Jr. took office..

I'll probably be called stupid for this, but I actually like Sarah Palin. Does that mean I think she is qualified to be President?? At this moment in time, NO, but I didn't think Obama was either, and look where he is now.

I too would strongly consider it. As bad as I disliked Bush, we were at war in 04' and wartime President's usually get reelected. Palin beating Obama would drown out nearly all faith I have in my fellow American's.

Neither. It would be scary if Palin actually gets more than 2 votes. Obama only won cause it suddenly became the "cool thing to do" voting for a black guy to be president. He's been terrible. Easily the worst president ever. I would vote for a spoon before I'd vote for either of them.
