The scariest movie I ever saw was "Valiant", because after the first five minutes I was horrified to discover I still had another 70 minutes to go.

I want to rent this so bad but since the U.S. decided they were going to remake it insanely quick, they've stopped the original from being distributed in the U.S. until the remake is out.

Is there any way to see this legally?

It's one of the best horrors I've seen.

And Hollywood is going to make a stupidly crap remake of it.

Please, import the DVD of the original.

Since the TC posted a bad clip I am here to post some good ones and yes there are some spoilers contained within:

Better trailer

Awesome scene

This movie is at the very top of my "must see" list. The premise is simply awesome and it just looks so great and original.

Looks exactly like the movie Quarantine that's coming out in the U.S. I guess they copied off of that movie or it's our version of it.

Well, I have seen tons of horror movies, and I think this was the only one that really creeped me out. It was an amazing film, everyone should see it if you want to see a good, well-elaborated horror film. Watch the original, though, not the remake.

Why in God's name does everyone speak of Quarantine as if it is out yet? Seriously, what the hell do people have against Quarantine? Do you even realize that The Departed was a freaking remake itself and turned out extremely well???

There is a huge difference. Firstly, The Departed was directed by Martin Scorsese, which is almost guaranteed that will turn out to be a good film, even though it's a remake. The actors/actresses in Rec were pretty appropiate for the film, and by seeing the trailer of Quarantine I can say they don't look like they can put up to what the original offered. And there was one certain part of the trailer that really made me think they had screwed up. Have you seen Rec yet?

I assume you are refferring to them putting the ending in the trailer, right?

Oh and I mentioned earlier that it is on top of my "must see" list and I am actually trying to find the DVD as we speak.

That is one thing. And the other thing maybe you would notice when you see the film. When you see it, probably you change your opinion on what you're saying. I usually don't discard remakes only for being remakes, but in this case, yes.

I plan on getting the original on DVD but have run into a roadblock.

All the DVD's are region 2 but I live here in the US so I am not sre if my 360 will be able to play it....

I thought Fire in the Sky was scary as **** when i was younger and aliens scared me crapless.

However I live in the country, so the Blair Witch can seem scary at night around here.

I just watched this. It was badass and actually scary. Think Cloverfield (less shaky or rather less annoying, though) mixed with a bit of Resident Evil. It was awesome and I look forward to the remake.

EDIT: actually, nvm. after looking more at the Quarantine trailers and crap it looks really lame in comparison. None of the actors seem very likeable in the new one.

I haven't seen a really scary movie yet, the one that's the most disturbing is ERASERHEAD by David Lynch. It's not really scary, it's just like a bad nightmare, totally surrealistic and unsettling. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dU7OqGCIcak
