I just watched The Road, and it was one of the best movies I have seen in a while. It is by far one of the best films of the year. Viggo Mortenson was great in it. 10/10

Glad someone else watched that. I really enjoyed it too, great to hear Barry Humphries doing the narrarationa and Phillip Seymour hoffman did great voice work too. A bit depressing but still one of the best animated films I have seen in a while. I hope it wins best animated feature, even though I know it wont:(

I actually watched it because you had mentioned it awhile back on the forums and from your description it sounded interesting.Terminator 4: Salvation.
6.5 / 10.0

The storyline and overall acting is a 5.0 (mediocre), but the animatronics, CGI etc. pulls it up to a worthwhile watch if you harbor the slighest interest in special effects.
The extra-content featured in the DVD is pretty impressive (again, only if you´re into special effects and how they are carried out).
Amores Perros 10/10

Absolutely fantastic movie. Admittedly I don't watch many mexican movies (soy malinchista :P), but that one is still my favorite mexican movie and overall just one of the best movies I've ever seen.

That movie isn't out anywhere in the state of Utah so I can't see it, though I want to really badly.
Last movie I watched was Apocalypse Now 10/10
Bad Lieutenant Port Of New Orleans 7.5/10 I was entertained all throughout the movie Acting was okay Never seen the original so i cant compare. Alot of drug use throughout the movie Worth a view imoMkavanaugh77
I quite liked it too. I think it was meant to be more of a dark comedy than it was advertised as.
Great movie as well, not as good as Superbad but pretty damn close In my opinion, it was a better film. I guess that's mostly because Adventureland felt a lot more personal and relative to me. Superbad I just saw as some silly teen comedy that had little to no connections with me. It was still a really fun film, but I got more out of Adventureland than Superbad.[QUOTE="Nerd_Man"]
Adventureland really took me by surprise. It's a far more serious film, and in my opinion, a much better film than Superbad.
I absolutely loved it. I would give it about a 9-9.5/10.Mkavanaugh77

Yeah the release date of the film has been pushed back about a year too and yet when it comes out they barely release it anywhere. Shame, it is a great film.
Yeah, the title is really a misnomer, though, something not many people caught on.Yeah I thought it worked pretty well as a drama, but the funny parts were not really that funny.

It's a shame because I read the book in anticipation for the film, and the book was amazing, and everything I've heard about the movie has been good so it's killing me because it's the only movie out now I want to see.

I hate it when the best films only get limited release dates. All theaters used to have to show at least one indie by law, but now the big studios pretty much own the big theater so tons of good films get missed. Did you see The Proposition? If you cant see the road yet I recommned that since it is by the same director.

I'll have to watch that, it's available for instant stream on Netflix so I'll probably watch it tomorrow.
Ew.... That movie's out? The book was terribly boring. I had to actually force myself to get the end.I just watched The Road, and it was one of the best movies I have seen in a while. It is by far one of the best films of the year. Viggo Mortenson was great in it. 10/10

I just found it too depressing and predictable and dialogue between the man and his son wasn't very interesting. The Rock. (1996.)
A classic action flick, and one of my favourites growing up. I hadn't seen it in a long while, and watched it on DvD last night. There were a few moments in the plot which were shaky, (in terms of believability), but the characterisation saved it. Ed Harris was fantastic as the conflicted military general. Connery and Cage made a good duo. The pacing moved along smoothly, and progressed to an unconventional end.
The Rock is explosive, tense, funny, and satisfying fun. I'll give it a high seven or an eight out of ten.
Funny People. 8/10.
6/10 if I considered it to be a comedy.JustPlainLucas
8/10 for me as well
-I consider it an an almost auto-biography of Celebrity (Sandler's) life
-just a Drama with awkward humor intentionally used for effect
Terminator 4: Salvation.
