My state has Nintendo and Microsoft... Seeing as this is a game site... I think I may win?

Hell, my town has Nintendo and Microsoft. Check the box of any game that is made by nintendo(so not a third party game) and you'll see Redmond on there.

Oh, and we have Starbucks and Boeing, so we give you coffee and planes.

Oh, and we have Bill Gates, so we're pretty rich.

Oh, and there are a lot of game developers here(steam anyone?).

Not a huge fan of EA games, but they have put some games out that I've loved (Freedom Fighters, Black and White). 

I forgot to mention our music scene. Although I'm not a huge fan of the major bands out of this area, we did have Nirvana and Pearl Jam. A few other not as big bands (TAAS, The Blood Brothers), and the grunge movement, if you were a fan of that.

My state has SEGA, Blizzard, Rockstar, Lucasarts, Double Fine, (We also have EA), and Sony. GDC, WCG, E3 and Siggraph are also here..........

I've met them a few times, (My mom is friends with the drummers mom). They're cool guys. Not a huge fan of Manipulator though(their newest CD). They have gone hill since their first album I think.

Portland has The Decemberist and Elliott Smith. Although The Decemberists really disappointed me with The Crane Wife.

I'm seeing Fall of Troy with the Deftones in about 20 days. Then I'm seeing Tool live the next night. it's going to be a good week.

California

Ok, this might seem slightly unfair but I'm pretty sure California will win.Kalel559

I was born and raised in California, but I've got to say it has gone to pot. The taxes are way too high, the gas prices are the highest in the nation, and the economy was driven into the ground by Gray Davis. Unfortunately good ol' Arnie isn't fixing the problems and is creating new ones. Don't get me wrong there's a lot to like about California but I won't live there now. Washington state is much better overall.

Oh yeah, did I forget to mention flash floods, wild fires, earthquakes, and L.A.

I'm from that igloo, baby seal clubbing socialist/capitalist democracy called Canada.  I live in a border town near Washington state.  But, Oregon is the coolest state.  Admittedly, I've only been to 4 states, but the Oregon people were the nicest, most helpful and cool people my friend and I could have met on our road trip into the infidels' country;)
