Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has died at age 91

Somehow I thought his bunnies would keep him alive forever.

He lived a very long and full life, and he gave many people their first good look at the female form. His passing will mark the end of an era for sure.

This year, we lost Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington, Len Wein, and now Hugh Hefner. Anyone else we lost in the entertainment world? Because, like last year, it feels like we lost a lot.

? 91 is old enough..no one lives forever..if you lived to 75-80+yrs old..you've lived a long life..RIP Mr Hefner. :P

Hef changed Western culture as we know it. EVERYBODY has been affected by his life, and his crusade to move sex into the mainstream, rather in the darkest corners of our minds.

He lived a good life. He was quite interesting. He made porn, yet it was very difficult to deny that he was a very tasteful person. I found that dissonance very cool.

Really though...the man can be called many things, but he was an inspiration to the sexual liberation of many in western cultures over the past half century. Lot's to be thankful to him for.

absolutely, he was a decent man. Fought for women's rights, freedom of expression, freedom of the press, same-sex marriage, freedom of religion. I wouldn't even call what he did "pornography", just "nude pictures".

America has a ginormous stick up its collective ass when it comes to sex and/or nudity, and Mr. Hefner did more than his fair share to wedge it a little bit out of there. Hopefully we continue his fight.

Hugh Hefner was always a big fan of Marilyn Monroe. As the first Playboy cover girl, he credited her as a big reason behind Playboy's success. But he never got the chance to meet her, so this is his way of finally "meeting" his idol.

There are people who find it creepy or "disgusting", but I haven't seen anyone referring to this particular decision as "women oppression".

This is such a shock much like Steve Irwin. Seeing people on tv dying in real life is such a shock.
