IF this goes the full 13 episodes, I'll be impressed. I just can't picture the scope of the Terminator films being captured properly on a weekly TV series. It'll do okay because well...there's no new shows on right now, what with the writer's strike and all.

Yeah..2008 and 2009 are going to be very trying times for television.

Gonna be better than 24. :Dmohan88
blasphemy!
24 is awesome.
24 is overrated!!!!tic...tock....
Ever since it was announced it was doomed to be bad. How can Fox not notice this? Really.Sim_genius
its FOX :|. If there is a way to view how many FOX shows have been canceled, im pretty sure it would be well over 30.
Terminator 2 was on TV the other day and I decided to watch it again. It's a brilliant movie because it had a perfect balance of action, character development, themes and morals, questions on life and humanity. They sure don't make them like they used to, it's all just over the top action and superficial dialogue. I've got a feeling this TV series will further molest the greatness of Terminator 1 and 2.
Whatever happened to real storytelling? 3 dimensional characters? Artistic cinematography? Ethical undertones? Now it's all trash, absolute trash rotting our minds.
I'm totally cereal. Who actually expects this series to be good? The writing sounds absolutely atrocious. How can you expect this to be good when you haves lines like, "Grab the guns. I'll make pancakes," or, "Boy: I call shotgun. Girl: I call nine millimeter". Wasn't Terminator 3 bad enough? :(JustPlainLucasthey're totally trying to catch onto the sequel bandwagon..... with a terrible spinoff....
I actually want to see Terminator: SCC. That one guy is sooo cute!ChicaQueenWarGa
Terminators aren't supposed to be cute.
Are you kidding me? "Grab the guns. I'll make pancakes" is great! And how do we know "pancakes" arn't some kind of explosive device? Actually, I hope they mean the kind that are fluffy and delicious.
People need to lighten up a little.

It's a bad line. It just is. It's almost as bad as Batman and Robin's Mr. Freeze line, "Ok everybody, chill!"
So...what's the basic premise of this show? Does it take place before T2 or after T2? Is John Connor in it? I think I read somewhere that it has a schoolgirl Terminator or something? Is this about MORE robots from the future? Why do we need to see this? Why is Fox suddenly going back to all these old franchises? Aliens? Predators? Schoolgirl Terminators? How does this fit into movie continuity? Does it ADD anything to the Terminator mythos? Why are we seeing all this Terminator stuff now? Is there anyone who still cares about The Terminator? And if there is anyone who still cares about The Terminator, do any of them NOT consider the property to be equally as effectively dead as the Alien and Predator series?
MrGeezer
Basically, from what I gather, it takes place after T2, and yes, a terminator disguised as a highschool girl as been sent to protect John. Yeah, there's pretty much no need for this series.

Exactly why this show will phail...I hate these people milking the same cows all the time.
Another sequel anyone?
BlueBarad
They're making THREE new sequels. Directed by "McG", the guy who directed the Charlie's Angels movies.
On the plus side, though, it's got a few things going for it. No more time travelling protectors from the future, it's FINALLY gonna be all future war with humans vs machines, and it's supposedly got Christian Bale playing John Connor.

Hopefully they can manage to score a decent screenwriter. Maybe it'll somewhat entertaining.

hmm, didn't know that. Sounds good, I remember I played a Terminator 3 game, and the ending was what happens after T3
The Terminator's cpu is still intact from after the explosion (when he killed the chick Terminator) and I forget if it was Connor or not, but someone gets the cpu and puts it in a giant ass Terminator mech thing.
maybe the new movies will have that incorporated into them.
