Think it's very likely that Ukraine may split. The East side may join Russia, the west may become more open.
I heard Ukraine might become another Yugoslavia. Eastern Ukraine has a high percentage of ethnic Russians and Russian-speaking Ukrainians, whereas the western part of the country is mostly Ukrainian-speaking Ukrainians, so I could definitely see a split happening, and possibly a clusterfuck of a civil war.
