Did you believe is Santa as a kid? If so, when did you figure it out or when were you told the truth?

I never believed in Santa. My mom could never trick me. I just had too many questions about delivering all those toys. I did enjoy the Christmas cartoons though.

I believed in him. I remember feeling really stupid when my parents told me he wasn't real.

I believed until I was about 6. I confronted my mom about it and forced her to tell me.

Same here. I think she tried to salvage it by saying he hurt his hand and asked her to do it.

My dad told me he wasn't real when I asked at age 7. Just flat out ruined it for me. I still harp at him for wrecking it, you're SUPPOSED to make up wild lies to cover up for Santa. I had suspicions, but I could deal with whatever lies I was told because I was a child and I wanted presents.

Santa is real if you believe.

If you pray really hard for a Nintendo 64, Santa just might answer that prayer with a Nintendo 64.

It just takes faith

Yes.

Found out one year when I went present hunting. I found this big stereo that seemed like a Christmas present but it wasn't something I asked for so I wasn't sure. Christmas morning my brother goes to open his big one "From Santa" and it's the stereo.

My life has gone downhill from there.

I ceased any serious belief in Santa when I was around 6, but played along up until around the age of 10.

My Mom didn't try to deny or hide, she just told us the truth. It didn't affect my enjoyment of my Legos or Atari 2600.

This is the easiest lie ever. "Santa didn't think he could fit it onto his sleigh because it's so big, so he asked his elves to deliver it early to mom and dad for safekeeping". Elaborate and tell them that Santa does this for a lot of big presents, like ponies and bikes and stuff. Kids already believe that their parents are in cahoots with Santa, so it's not too much of a stretch. I already have a significant number of situational lies for my children pre-planned.

I was 7 or 8 when I found my parents sneaking a big bag of gifts in to the house on X-mas night. Sadly, that was when I stopped believing in Santa.

Well, I didn't actually say anything to my parents until years later so they didn't get the chance to lie to me about that.

It was just the 'aha' moment for me.

Santa Claus will be homeless soon if all the global warming predictions are true. I anticipate major market disuptions until he relocates.
