[quote="Mashable"]Even as Netflix faces a sustained backlash from customers over recent changes to its subscription pricing plan, the company is preparing to launch its service in Europe. According to Variety, Netflix is planning on expanding to Spain and the United Kingdom in the first quarter of 2012. This is in addition to the company's plans to expand into Latin America and the Caribbean. Variety speculates that the cost international expansion could be one reason for Netflix's decision to separate its DVD rental and streaming services into different subscriptions. We're not so sure. It's true that more customers in more countries will increase Netflix's content licensing and acquisition costs, as separate deals will need to be worked out in each market. But it also means a larger customer base, for which it would make sense to keep prices low.

Above = Excerpt. Source = Link. Many Americans here cancelled their Netflix subscription over the increase in price. Nevertheless, Europeans now have the option of finally using the once highly acclaimed Netflix. An even trade?

This is good. As a brit, I've always wanted to try out Netflix. I'm glad that I'll finally get the opportunity to do so.

I am sure they'll move into even more states of the EU if feedback is positive. Kinda regret leaving South America now, though, don't you?

There are only a handful of good movies on Netflix available for instant watch and most of them are foreign movies.

Its really not worth it that much anymore they never get any good movies. I used to use Netflix for TV shows, but most are being delayed until way after they are aired because netflix grew so much.

We've had a similar service over here for quite some time, except for TV-shows.

Meo. I believe it's only available in Portugal.

The complete package includes cable TV (with HD and 3D too soon I believe), no-cap broadband internet, house phone, a "videoclub" which is basically a movie instant-renting service (I assume this is what netflix is) though it doesn't include TV series (it does include naughty movies though) and also "music box" a spotify-like service which includes apps for android and iphone. There's also a smartphone app to control the cable-tv menus, not a big thing but quite neet :P.

EDIT: I just checked and netflix works over the internet. I guess it is a little different then.

I wish Netflix would come to Australia, our movie-streaming services are terrible.

Sounds epic. What's the price? Can it compete with Netflix's infamous low price tag?

Will it be like Canadian Netflix? Still $8/month, but streaming only. Also to Americans complaining about Netflix prices, you guys are lucky to have had it for so long and pay the same amount as Canadians who have a smaller selection and streaming only.

You guys already save loads on video games via Steam. Don't complain. The video game industry > The movie industry.

I'd only be interested in TV Streaming primarily... but then most major networks/channels have their own on-demand services here (sky player, virgin on demand, 4OD, BBC iPlayer....) so it may be irrelevant to me.
