I hate sports, so that sounds awful.
And it's not like you need to be a jock in order to get laid. Otherwise, you wouldn't see so many ugly ass poor people with babies. As F Scott Fitzgerald wrote in The Great Gatsby, "The rich get richer and the poor get babies".
I guess me and my friends fall somewhere in between. I have a friend who lost his virginity at 15 (as in, a couple months ago) and we're all buds with these attractive girls (but I'm the only one with a hot older cheerleader friend ;) ), but we still play games all the time and can quote like half the lines from Star Wars. I mean we're not like jocks by any means, but we're not like nerd nerds. Some of us are also in marching band and I might join swim, but haven't heard anything about tryouts. Probably because it's fall.

Nah...I'm alright. The friends I have now are ones that I know I can trust with just about anything...the jocks where I'm at aren't the most trustworthy of people and go out to drinking parties every weekend.

True, college typically has higher standards than High School, so if you have a 2.5 in HS, it's not unlikely that it will remain the same, or even lower because of challenge, in College.

Psh, it's not that hard, although depending on a lot of things, obviously. People like confidence, ad you generally don't have to beat the living crap out of others to be respected. Well, that's where I live.
I have done that too though i was never a nerd i always played sports and balanced my life with everything else. I play video games about once a week at most sometimes once a month. They dont entertain me anymore and the only reason i play halo now i cause my life has been a mess lately and late at night when i cant sleep it gives me a way to escape a bit. Its very possible and i do believe you, congrats man you a normal person now.
great for you, if you think that is the best path in life than take it, I never liked playing sports competitively and I still enjoy playing games with friends most of the time. For me becoming a jock would be selling out who I really am.

I agree, I speak to a few sometimes and not all are bad, some are really cool. A majority I really dislike, but I have many jock friends too, and I'm sure as hell not a jock.
