Actually that picture is of it's smaller brother the P.1000 ;)

That has 2*280mm, 1*128mm, 8*20mm AA, 2*15mm MG

The 1500 has 1*800mm, 2*150mm and a bunch of 15mm MGs

Also the P.1000 only weighs 1000 tons, the P.1500 weighs 2500 tons :o

Only if it's going in a straight line on a paved road with the cruise control on. The damned thing uses up 10 gallons just starting the engine and turbine up. It's a serious design flaw. It's also pretty much useless in urban combat due to the turbine exhaust. It's so hot and projects out so far that infantry can't walk anywhere near it and therefore can't provide effective protection against opposing infantry attacks.

My contribution-something that is vaguely realistic (not by modern standards, but still not ridiculous like, say Gundams) AND utilitarian (in a war in which everyone has guns and missiles, melee weapons are, quite frankly, stupid-once again, I'm looking at Gundam and its analogs) AND powerful. I'd like to see any modern war machine upgraded to technology of this era try to take on a Madcat.
