My: "getting chicks" experiment thread *Update 1*

My sisters usually just a huge pain but I actually heard what she yelled at me today, "if you were just nice ALOT of people would like you". I went through junior highschool without any friends that were girls (if you dont count girls over facebook and msn). Now that im in highschool and have other needs..... I need to get with some chicks. Therefore I will be testing my sisters theory and will try being nice to them.

Reason why: I was walking out of gym one day when a random senior simply said "hey" to me. I didnt know this guy at all and well I havent forgotten about it yet. Thats why I think it will work with the chicks.

My plan of action:

Say "hey" to as many random chicks around school as I can.

Try to talk to as many girls and try to start as many random conversations as I can with them.

I'll try to update this thread (on this post so you dont have to find updates) as much as I can with any progress I make.

Hopefully if it works for me mabey some of you guys may try it. Well thats all for now, keep your eyes peeled for the next update.

*Update 1, 12/16/08*

Today was the day after that first post, I saw that alot of people were intrested so I decided to update today even though theres not alot to update with. I didnt realize it but I had gym today so the beautiful hair I prepared for today was ruined by my hockey helmet. Therefore I didnt feel up to the task of talking to alot of chicks as I didnt look my best. No gym tommorow though, i'll try my best and give a real update then. Also know that I will NOT in any circumstance exagerate results or lie. I'll give details on what happened as is and exactly how it happened. Pretty much all of you guys are in my situatuion or worse so I have noone to impress lol. Keep your eyes peeled for the next update!

Oh yes, being nice does help- a LOT. That's why so many of my friends are girls. :DMore_Dakka

I don't mean to be a jerk or anything, but that's probably why you have so many friends who are girls, because you are too nice, and they categorize those guys as "friends". Don't be to nice as I said. Be nice, but be playful, cocky and confident and you'll surely pull a girl.

No. Lets polarize this quickly: The "i like" will be "+", the "not like" will be the "-", each is their opposites extreme. Now, since you claim to be neither, just a moderation between these to extremes, the word "like" is out of the picture, so you´re not likeable, since likeable is the foundation in order to be liked, so it has a positive spin, which you do not deserve. "unlikeable" has a negative spin, again, something we cant brand you with either. So for you to be the absolute status quo, you would have to be deemed "incognito", since no one would pay attention to you. Buuut... we both know this not to be the truth :P You are likeable, otherwise i wouldnt care to respond.

Who cares about chicks, im doing stellar, and i cant remember the last time i flirted with a girl and received positive feedback.

People don't have to be nice to me so much as they have to be polite and useful. Unless "acting" nice also counts...DigitalExile

Well, acting nice is nice in its own weird way, since it´s nice for the person (in some cases only) whom you are acting nice towards. What is the difference between nice and polite when it comes to people? Something and someone can be nice, but only someone can be polite, and being polite is a more specific term than just being nice, right. So its pretty much the same! And it is nice when they are useful, so if you boil it down, they have a nice effect, altho not being specifically nice. Uhhh... Im confused now, ill shut up.
