Whatsup OT.

SO! I am a sophomore in college and I have this friend that I met last year. I like her alot and we have always kinda flirted. Anyway, there was a party at this guys house the other night. She told me a few days prior that she might go, and I decided that I would if she would (or my room mate, but he didnt). So the night of the thing she had some friends from her home town come to visit and we were texting back and forth as she and her friends were deciding if they wanted to go. she said she would call me if they wanted to go. i offered to be DD, she said she wouldnt be drinking anyway though.

well, i never got a call or text saying they were going so i assume they didn't. i wake up this morning and am talking to my OTHER roomie who was there (i am not close friends with him yet so he wasnt a deciding factor). anyway, he told me that SHE.WAS.THERE. and ALSO, she got drunk.

So OT, looks like a I was blown off, eh? how do i approach her about this?

Take it from somebody who has a lot of experience...

You can try maybe one or two more times with her, and if she continues to blow you off, just completely ignore her and move on. Women like that are absolutely not worth waiting around for. There are plenty of girls in college. You have three more years assuming you just started your sophomore year, so it's not like you're short on time.

Also, if you end up going to graduate school, law school, or medical school, you'll have 2 to 4 more years. Don't sweat it. There's no rush.

Plans change, maybe she just didn't want to bug you after taking a long time to decide. I wouldn't even bring it up unless she does, or somebody else does, then just mention your roommate said she was there.

Should have went to the party anyway but it's no big deal. It's quite annoying when people do that but just forget about it. Try getting with her again a few more times and if she keeps blowing you off then move on.

Its more than likely the influence of her friends. They probably do not want to see her with a guy if they are not guaranteed one. Funny how this girl who you are seemingly fine with changes when out of town friends show up huh? Tho she is rude for doing this to you i should mention it and say casually, " hey how come you didnt text me". Get the excuse and consider your options from there on in. She's probably not worth the hassle tho!

another sad tale of a male invertebrate.

you tell her to pick you up at 8, and that your are gonna be hittin the sauce hard starting at noon so if she gives you any flak some backhands might start flying and you dont like condoms so you are gonna be ridin her bareback that night.

Women like a strong man that puts them in their place. Something about crappy male role models in their life or something.

but seriously... the best method is to not approach. Ignore her, and she will wonder why you are ignoring her.. and when you do talk to her, act disinterested.. end the conversation abruptly on a "look i got some stuff to do so ill talk to you later". Women hate when you dont pay attention to them.. and it turns them on.

I don't understand. Why didn't you just go to the party anyway? It's pretty weird that you going to a party was contigent upon her going, she probably either forgot or thought you were just going to be there anyway. I'm guessing she was just with her friends and forgot.

As far as "calling her out", this is a horrendous idea. Say you didn't end up going because you did X instead or you got sick or something. Next time you want to go out drinking with her either invite her to pregame at somewhere or just go to the same party as her and meet up -- don't offer to DD her to the party with your attendance being related to her going.

In general though it sounds like you're screwed. It doesn't sound like she wants to be anything more than friends. If you really want to be more than friends your only shot is probably just getting drunk with her and then you guys start fooling around, though I'm finding this highly unlikely anyway.

if this has been a pattern I wouldn't really dignify it with confrontation, try to move on by yourself, however it could have been a onetime thing, people sometimes go to parties not planning on drinking but do it anyways, anyhow, maybe she just wanted to spend time with her friends, it's not like your roommate said he saw her do the football team or you woke up to find cooking breakfast in your roommates shirt

Unfortunately by "just asking" you set yourself up for more dissapointment. Trust me! I've been in this situation and its not pretty.

After you casually ask about it, she'll most likely say something like, "Sorry! I forgot" or "I just assumed you'd go" and because you like her you'll accept it and move on as if it was nothing. You get your hopes up and you keep chasing. Unfortunately, shes already shown the capacity to completely blow you off, no call, no message, nothing. If she was interested she would say SOMETHING rather than nothing at all so I can almost guarantee something like this will happen again. In the end, it'll only lead you to more hurt feelings and more dissapointment as you get "invest" more into going after her.

I know its not easy to hear, but the best thing would be to just move on right now and keep your friendship, nothing beyond that. You've got more years of college ahead of you so there should be other chances. If you wait around for this girl, you'll most likely waste all your years at college and end up with nothing(exactly what happened to me)

I might seem negative, but its just I've been in this exact situation before, and it turned out pretty bad for me. I chased the girl for 3 years and I kept accepting "being blown off" as nothing when it was really a sign she wasn't interested. I ended up resenting a friend and wasting some years at universtiy(still got a couple left thankfully)

Ok. We talked. It was truly pathetic. Basically, shot got "distracted", and lost her phone. I told her "Thats...embarassing." And she said "sorry i was with my friend and this guy i am seeing."

yeah. i wont be talking to her anytime soon. Thanks anyway, OT :(

P.S.- I hate all women.

Nice!! Now all you have to do is get her to leave the guy she's currently seeing, and you're in business! Just tell her that you think about her day and night, you love her, and you want to be with her forever. It might seem a little weird since you barely know her, but i guarantee you her heart will melt, and she'll do anything for you. Trust me, it works. I do it all the time.
