I've never heard The Beatles, or Elvis. (only little tidbits here and there) So I can't say for

sure, but I doubt I'd enjoy their music more than Michael Jackson's. He's one of my favorites.

Personally, I like the Beatles best. However, I think the answer to this poll, in terms of production value and general appeal to the masses, is Michael Jackson. Really, has there ever been a bigger pop star in the world than Michael Jackson?

Im a michael jackson fan (just started listening a few years ago, and well, i dont love all his music but i like a lot of his music). however, beatles is not really my type. i prefer the beegees, and though they are similar (in some aspects, in fact, first time i heard "spicks and specks" i could have mistaken it for a beatles song XP though i could do that with some otehr songs by similar british boy bands ). i dont listen to evlis though, but i do admire his and the beatle's songs. they're the type of songs that, even if i dont like, i would still sing along and enjoy it the few times i hear them.

Yeah, he literally owned them. Well, their music anyway. :P

MJ is my pick as well. I listen to his music and I just can't help but feeling like wanting to get up and dance. The other two groups? I hear them, and I get all....meh.

Michael Jackson by far. Other than playing instruments, Michael Jackson could sing way better, had a lot more hits, and mop the floor with all of them when it came to performance. Oh yeah, and he is the reason why music videos is considered one of the main art forms of music. If there was a pound for pound competition, Michael OWNS every other recording artist.

Thriller

Beat It

Smooth Criminal

We are the World

Earth Song

Black or White

Bad

Billie Jean

Scream

And those are just a few of the classics that he had (I had to stop sometime, lol, heck, I also didnt even name any of the songs from "Off the Wall")

Micheal Jackson had a bunch of really awesome singles but his albums were weaksauce as a whole. Elvis I understand why people liked him at the time but his music got pretty repetitive and feels dated... The Beatles though, are the best band evar and all there albums are completely amazing.

Michael Jackson's albums were classics. He had 14 singles on the Bad album with only 15 songs on it and they all did well on the charts btw. And Thriller is the most diverse pop album ever made.

1. The Beatles 2. Elvis That's all. Michael Jackson composed some good songs, but his lyrics were horrible and his voice was annoying. He's not worth mentioning with the likes of The Beatles.

Off the wall was good all the way through. Thriller was half amazing, half.. decent, and there were only 9 songs.. and Bad was pretty good also but that was his last good album, after that I couldn't even listen to an entire album of his, they got soooo generic. There was a good single here and there but man after those 3 albums it wasn't pretty imo

Interesting you say that, what did you think of Dangerous, History and even Invincible? But yeah, Elvis didnt write his stuff and The Beatles wrote many albums that would change the face of music.

Never was a real big Michael Jackson fan. I mean I like some of his music but I never bought any albums.

Beatles and Elvis are a pretty much a tie but I picked Elvis on the vote because if I could only pick one then Elvis edges out Beatles. I have several Beatles albums and quite a few Elvis. I even have Elvis' DVD of his Hawaii tour. Awesome. He was just a natural entertainer. When a single man on a stage can mesmerize a whole audience without using pounding music, smoke or lights, then thats just pure charisma.

Beatles are good too but they hit just at the right time. They looked different, sounded different and captured the heart of millions.

I disagree, his last 3 albums (Dangerous, History, Invincible) were great and the first 2 that I meantioned were classics. He actually experimented more on those albums.

I'm sorry but what? His albums were always diverse, and yes that sometimes comes at the cost of coherence. But no way in hell are they weaksause.

Michael Jackson is the greatest artist to have ever walked the planet, when I listen to his music it makes me sad to know we will never see this sort of talent again.
