I suppose it's DC.

I don't like the X-men movies, was never into the cartoons as they didn't have enough violence, i'm tired of wolverine in all forms. Think the only place I like Marvel was in X-men vs Street Fighter.

I don't like Superman movies but I have enjoyed a few DC comics in the past, I prefer the characters, they don't have Jean Grey and they got Harlequin.

Plus we got DC universe coming soon, so we can interact with it more. Marvel just gets tossed about with comics and movies that don't follow. DC Universe actually has some structure to it. I mean, when Batman joins the Justice League, a hero known as The Question takes over from looking after Gotham City. If it was Marvel it will just be an alternative reality or they'll not bother even trying to fill the gap.

Marvel within the super hero universe which is both their main business, but DC has it good with their imprints like Vertigo. It's easier to get into Marvel compared to DC. They're generally better at selling their titles and popular characters to newbies or returning readers from my experience which is great. Even though now it may seem like the storylines are being chugged at you one after the other it all falls into place somewhat later on.

Wow, I'm surprised at the outcome so far, I was certain DC would rule all. I guess most of you are too young to have experienced DC properly. Eiher that, or you're all blind. =P

Have any of you read Preacher? Transmetropolitan? DC has concept and texture. Marvel is just colorful **** running around in spandex suits.

DC has made Watchmen and Batman. Watchmen was one of the greatest graphic novels of all time, and Batman is the ****ing Batman. Marvel has made about a hundred movies based on their characters, most of which have failed miserably. DC > Marvel

DC. Marvel hasn't put out a good event in years, while DC has had a lot of good events (except for Final Crisis, which in my opinion was better than a few Marvel events)

I really suggest checking Marvel's recent space operas, Annihilation, Annihilation Conquest and War of Kings. They've all been pretty amazing, IMO

Annihilation is the only good event Marvel has put out in ten years. Conquest was just trying to make money on the Annihilation name and it was boring. War of Kings was a disappointment to me. NO Inhuman action whatsoever until the final issue, and even that was disappointing.

While DC has put out:

Identity Crisis
Infinite Crisis
52 (... not really an event, but I loved it.)
Sinestro Corps War
Blackest Night

Fair enough, I just always try to booster Abneet and Lanning's stuff, since they don't get the marketing push of a Civil War or a Secret Invasion and I think that they tend to be much better. While I know it's a matter of taste, I actually really disliked Identity/Infinite Crisis and my loathing for Grant Morrison kept me from even picking up Final Crisis. I was reading 52 and actually quit reading it about halfway through. I am enjoying Blackest Night a lot as mentioned. Honestly, my only gripe with Johns is that I feel like he assumes everyone has the deep knowledge of and reverence for the DCU that he obviously does

Understandable. As I said, I loved Annihilation. But Conquest I felt was just trying to make money using Annihilation, but without the good story that the first had. War of Kings I had hoped would show the Inhumans. But SI: Inhumans, a 4 issue mini, had more Inhuman combat than WoK.

Final Crisis... eh, I didn't like that. I liked it until around the point where Batman died (even if I kinda did like his death). Then it just went down hill. But Final Crisis: Revelations was fantastic. It was kinda what SI: Inhumans was to Secret Invasion.

I personally loved Idenity Crisis and Infinite Crisis. I read Crisis on Infinite Earths before I read Infinite Crisis, though. 52 I loved.

I kinda like that writing. I don't like when writers feel the need to give history lessens. I can understand it can be helpful to newer readers, but I still prefer certain things to not be explained indepth.

I am more of a DC fan, because I really love Batman and Watchmen. For Marvel I actually haven't read much of the comics beside Ultimate Spiderman, and I like some of the movies, while not liking others.
