Man does the right thing and lets girlfriend be hit by ball

A man doges a foul ball and lets his girlfrind instead get hit by it. It was the right thing to do, becase they are both equal. If he tried to help her, that would imply some in-equality in their relationship. He would be a sexist, then. So it was the right thing to do, right?

Of course everyone expects the guy to catch the ball, everyone thinks it's the mans duty to protect women for some reason. If that ball was coming towards the man and the girlfriend moved you think anyone would be talking about this?? Of course not, women are considered weak, they should be in a protective device thing so men don't have to spend all their time trying to protect their girlfriends.
