i'm gonna have to be more closed minded then you guys....LOOKS ALL THE WAY!!!

Doesn't make much sense to put one ahead of the other, although when a person has both good looks and personality, or severly lacking in one department it's easy to think so.

Sorry but if I wanted to just talk and have a good time with a person I would go out with friends. If I want the type of relationship that involves sex I don't want to be with someone that doesn't turn me on.

Sorry but if I wanted to just talk and have a good time with a person I would go out with friends. If I want the type of relationship that involves sex I don't want to be with someone that doesn't turn me on.

Anyway, looks are most important to me. Though, if I meet a girl that's really pretty but a *****, I am automatically turned off.

On a more psychological level, guys prefer looks generally because they are merely looking for a capable mate that carries favourable genes and a 'perfect' waste line for carrying offspring. A healthy woman and attractive woman is more likely to churn out clones.

Girls on the other hand favor personality over looks. However looks still play a big part in selection. Girls are automatically defensive about who they choose for a very simple reason: Guys can mate with anyone, anytime, anywhere. Girls on the other hand can mate once, wait 9 months and then do it again; and after a certain amount of time they can't reproduce anymore (menopause). This places a much higher value on females. When girls look for a man, they want someone who is aggressive and leaderlike. Not an 'emo' or someone with those typical attributes. A man that is aggressive and leaderly is most likely capable to be able to support offspring and defend the family. Looks come second. You all have a chance now.

Looks are important. But I can't stand those preppy ass girls, I tease them all the time and for some reason they still come on to me. They're all the same, gahhhh!!! ugh.

You are not in the minority; people are just hesitant to choose looks (though at least subconsciously, if not consciously that is more important to them) because it makes them feel shallow.

No, but I can judge a girl quite easily from their looks. Let's say they're wearing Hollister T-shirts, low skirt jeans, and fur boots, I can pretty much tell that I'd want nothing to do with them, regardless of how they look.

Regardless, that's rather irrelevant. It would be foolish to say you can't judge someone from looks. Granted it's not perfectly accurate, because you can never find out everything from someone by looks, but it does give you a generally clue about their personality.

For example, a guy with long hair wearing heavy metal bands shirts all the time, I can tell he's into metal. I can figure that out from looks.
