[QUOTE="mindstorm"][QUOTE="nintendo-4life"]can't you just change the ram on your PC?ferrari2001
I could... but I'm broke at the moment. :P

But Ram is as cheap as dirt at the moment...

But I'm not sure if they will let me pay for it with dirt. My family lost their business because of the economy, I don't have a job, and I'm trying to save what little bit I can for grad school. Because of all of that, I'm not so sure if it's smart of me to buy much right now. :P

No worries. A mountain wouldn't be a mountain if it had no valleys. :D

laptop. I have a stand for it on my desk when I want to sit up. It saves electricity and can do games, video, music , etc like any desktop.

I have a desktop, and I think it's better than a laptop. Though I am thinking of getting a laptop, but not to replace my computer.

Both. Desktops for high-end stuff like graphic intensive games. Laptop for playing games in other areas of the house. Computers don't cost that much these days, plus you can buy one off ebay or get a refurbished one at a computer store. So just get both.

I have just a desktop because it's best for gaming. Cheaper because I can build it myself. Haven't had a real need for a laptop, plus they're just too expensive for the specs I'd want.

When I first started coming online I was strictly desktop and never thought I'd use or own a laptop. Then I used my older brother's a few times and fell in love with them and been using a laptop ever since. :)

I've had both but I prefer a desktop, unless I'm on the internet, or typing for a longs time for school or work or something.

I like Desktop's only because the game graphics are great. And you really can't play FPS's on a laptop with the mouse so that's why you have to plug one into it.

I prefer laptops. If it's warm, I can go outside. If I want to watch TV, I can go in the basement. If I want a good view of the wetlands behind my house, I can go to the family room. Can't do all that with a desktop.

Desktop, more powerful, cheaper, and built in modules, for easy repair.

Besides... I do not go outside too much, so I wouldnt need something easy to travel with.

I have both but I prefer laptops. My new Macbook Pro packs as much as a desktop but its so sleek and purty. Also, I don't really like being restricted to a desk when using a computer, I like being able to use it wherever, so for that reason I prefer laptops.
