I believe there was one Sylvester the cat vs. Tweety short where Sylvester tries to trick Tweety by painting his finger to look like a female bird (at least, i think it was supposed to look like a female bird). Tweety was obviously attracted to the "bird." We can take one of two things from this:
1. Tweety is a male.
2. Tweety is homosexual.
Tweety's a boy, but whenever it comes to merchandising, he's usually targeted torward the female demographic, possibly due the cuteness factor.
Tweety is portrayed as innocent, which is a feminine characteristic.michaelP4Wait, what? How is being innocent a "feminine" characteristic? Can you explain with detail?
Tweety is male? I always thought Tweety was female... :? I suppose it was an assumption, since Tweety is portrayed as innocent, which is a feminine characteristic.michaelP4There is NOTHING innocent about Tweety, especially in his earlier cartoons. One of his best lines: "Aww, the poor puddy tat...he crwushed his wittle head!"
Wait, what? How is being innocent a "feminine" characteristic? Can you explain with detail? I am referring to how innocence is used in female characters, to create the picture that a female character needs to be saved from an evil character, except, the comical twist with Tweety is, that he is able to outsmart the evil character, Sylvester, and doesn't need the help of another character (that is usually a male, heroic character). I always assumed Tweety to be female, because of this. Looney Tunes is a cartoon series that started out sometime in the 1930s, where this device was quite commonly used.[QUOTE="michaelP4"]Tweety is portrayed as innocent, which is a feminine characteristic.gamerguru100
