I sometimes do, but they never say thanks -.-

I ALWAYS hold the door open for people if they are a reasonably close behind.
Pirate700
Well, aren't you a Gentleman :P
I usually hold the door open if they're close enough. If they're far away I swing the door open as far as it goes and usually they'll make a mad dash to get in before it shuts.
Yep, always. I feel rude if I don't.Theokhoth

Yep, I always see that when people are holding it for other people. Kind of funny
Only for the ladies

Haha, awesome.
I once saw an elderly Lady walking with shopping bags, and she was obviously was struggling, so I helped her and even opened the door for her.
Sometimes, but I really hate it when they say thanks.
Assassin1349
Why? I like it when they say thanks, but hate it when they just walk of without saying anything
You hate it when they thank you? I don't like being thanked by people I don't know. Don't ask why, I can't give you an answer, I'm always just like "eh.."[QUOTE="Assassin1349"]

Pretty much always. I get annoyed when people are right in front of me but don't hold the door. Or when guys don't hold it open for girls. Makes me want to give them a massive wedgie, for some reason.fidosim
Wedgie? Wedgies are the thing when you are teasing someone. Maybe a slap on the head to knock some sense into 'em?

A slap to the head might work to disorient them enough so that I can give them the wedgie. I might be able to incorporate that.[QUOTE="Pirate700"]You hate it when they thank you? But, more onto the subject: I guess it might work to knock some sense into them, and also their family Jewels.

Yes I do open doors for others. I'll also open car doors for women regardless as to whether or not I'm dating them.mindstorm
Car doors are different, because you can't have people behind you trying to get in, unless it's a buss with a manual door.

Well I don't say "eh.." or anything that's just what goes through my head. So it doesn't appear to be odd, but the way I feel you could say is bizarre.[QUOTE="Assassin1349"][QUOTE="Pirate700"]You hate it when they thank you?

What I mean is that with my own car I'll open the door for the passenger before I go to the driver's seat.Yeah, I often do that...especially at school. People at my school are quite friendly.t3hrubikscube
Yep, students are always doing it for teachers if they have text books or a laptop in their hand, common manners at school

But doesn't it make you feel like a chauffeur? Sometimes it make me feel like one when i'm opening a car door for multiple people :S
Yep, nearly everytime. I live in Arkansas, and it's "required".btaylor2404
:O But then you feel obligated to do it...
What if you don't hold it open because you're in a rush?
Well to an extent that is the purpose. I like instilling the idea that I'm trying to take care of and serve the individual. However, I rarely do this if there is more than one individual riding with me (aside from the door behind the driver's seat).ohh, sorry.

But, I guess it is kind if you are riding with more than 1 person, to open the door for them to get in.
