Is Hollywood dying?

I just found out that they are making, Men in Black 3, Independence Day 2 and 3, Final Destination 5 and probably another 10 Saw movies. This leads me to the question, is Hollywood in a terminal decline of ideas?

saw 7 will be the last one... so i dont know where you heard there would be 10 more anyway... no, people want those movies, so theyre giving them to the people, theyre not saying "here you go, LastCaveMan, have these movies!"8-Bitterness

where's the originality gone? chris nolan cant make heist movie ripp-offs, all on his own. Hollywood are just dragging up dead franchises

I dont watch movies, so i could really care less.

Looking at the signals comming out of hollywood, I would have to say yes.

A lot of the big companys which makes up the Hollywood we know are doing quite horribly economical, and there is a limit to how many rehashes of movies you can make before everyone tire out.

If I temember correctly theaters are not doing too hot either.

There is a reason why Avatar was claimed to be "the movie to save Hollywood"

Altho when talkign about this, what is dying is the Hollywood we know and grew up with, I doubt Hollywood would die, but the budgets of movies have become downright silly, and thier income does not match the costs anymore. (Or so I have gotten the impression)

The bloat of Hollywood, will likely be trimmed, and give way to a new generation of Movie studios. Ironically I kind of blame videoGames for the decline, together with the lack of ideas, and endless remakes.

Yeah, creatively, Hollywood is in the intensive care unit and it is so because their only motivation to produce a movie is how much money it will generate.

they haven't run out of original ideas, they're just putting too much money into movies to take chances. even if taking a chance or two would make Hollywood...i don't know, not suck?-The-G-Man-

Whatever the case, the fact remains that they do suck. There are some gems, Inception was one this summer,but not many.

Nope, they know exactly what they're doing. People will pay to see crap so that's what we get.

I reckon Saw 3D's gonna be alright. They seem to be going all out for this one. They had some activity in Sydney last week where they were inviting people to get Halloween photos. The links here http://ow.ly/2WRaW. Does anybody know if they're gonna be doing this again?

They're not dying, they're just suffering from a lack of creativity.
