my Gf loves them both..so i deal with it all the time. I like HarryPotter and i must admit the latest twilight movie wasn't bad at all. but like said above they will be done soon.
I got a little bored of the Harry Potter books. One main reason was that I got tired of trying to decipher all the UK middle-school slang.
When I watching the extras on my Wrath of Khan bluray, one of the guys mentioned that a science-fiction story has to keep the rules of its universe. When I heard that, I realized that part of my dissatisfaction with Harry Potter comes from the feel that the author is constantly reinventing the rules of her universe.
I don't mind Harry Potter but Twilight is really bad. Only saw the first movie and read the book, but that was enough to turn me off the series forever. The movie was better than the book by a little bit.
I've been watching the very potter musical all afternoon; I think Harry Potter is a pretty good children's series. Twilight I don't know; I want to watch and see if the new movie as any effect on pre-teen girls what will Bella being preggo and all, but that's really all the interest I have for Twilight.
Did anyone feel the last Harry potter movie was trying to imitate Twilight. I did, especially with the awkward silency teen love parts that was handled much differently and better in the books.

I don't hate either, but I DO hate people on the interwebs constantly ranting about how much THEY hate them! It's just stupid, there's more talk of Twilight and Justin Beiber on message boards similar to this one than there is on their own fan sites because of it.
I am so glad you brought this up: I just watched Twilight for the first time. Whenever people talk about HP, Twilight always gets brought up. Plus my fiancee likes Twilight so I thought I would check it out even though I had sworn never to watch it. I have to say.... Twilight is the worse movie I ever saw in my life! Boring as hell as well! If anyone ever mentions Twilight as an alternative for HP fans to enjoy again I will smack them! Twilight isn't about vampires either; it's a freaking high school love story. In fact that is the only similarity between the two films; they both take place during the high school years. The stupid girl was a freaking stalker chasing after a man after a boy she barely knew, because he was all "mysterious". Said she was in love b4 they even went out together properly! And nothing exciting happened in the film until 80 minutes in (after the stupid vampire baseball game). Harry Potter, on the other hand, is one of the greatest stories ever told. That is all. Thank you. :)
I see I am not the only one with this opinion of Twilight. Good. I was starting to think the world had gone mad. Twilight made me go nuts. Maybe it was made worse because I left high school so long ago.
Not HP, I find the series enjoyable. Just beat Lego Harry Potter with my son (Cleared it 100%) Also looking forward to seeing the newest flick in the theater.
I absolutely love Harry Potter.The Movies are okay but the books are absolutely fantastic.
Twilight is just bad. Simple as that. It's a guilty pseudo-romantic sexualpleasure for teens that is horribly written and really not imaginitive. Stephenie Myers focuses the entire book on the vampires and horrible teenage generic drama instead of actually creating a great book that just happens to be in a vampire universe.
