I'm looking to get myself a smart phone, mainly for web browsing on the go but gaming and other apps are a bonus. The iphone looks really good, and the variety of apps seems really appealing too. I don't know much about blackberries, or windows mobile smart phones either, and I'm wondering how they compare.
The iphone seems to be the most popular, and thus I would assume has the most developers, and therfore the most apps, but I don't know enough about other smart phones to be able to make a good comparisson.
So, does anyone have any smart phone, and could you make some reccomendations?
I've heard that you either love or hate a blackberry. I've only heard about 2 people say they don't like the iPhone. I have one, and it's sweet.cell_dweller

I have a blackberry storm. I like it a lot, but you want the iPhone if you want games. Just don't expect anything near the games you get on a DS or PSP.
i have a bb storm from verizon. i'm really satisified with it so far.. unlimited data plan is KEY though because you'll eat through data playing with it :)

Yeah, the games are really only a bonus of the iphone, I'm not expecting a full portable gaming console or anything like that.

Yeah, the games are really only a bonus of the iphone, I'm not expecting a full portable gaming console or anything like that. read some reviews and stuff on both too to get a better idea. i've heard some ppl had issues with call quality and dropped calls on the iphone. but it could be more a factor of the network as opposed to the phone itself.
btw.. i think there's a buy one get one free deal on the bb storm @ verizon.. so if you know someone else who is looking to pick one up they can get a good deal :)

Just got a BB storm and so far I love it. It runs through battery power like crazy but other than that I cannot complain, getting my email on my phone is an awesome luxury to have.
I think I'm going to go for an iphone. Sure, it's expensive, but I've got some money to spend, and I'll only waste it in the pub if I don't buy something with it. Thanks for the advice dudes.
Check out a website called phonedog.com. It has tons of video reviews for all these different phones and he goes really in depth. I did a lot of looking into before I got my iPhone, it just seamed to me like by far the best one out there yet. My second choice would of been BB storm.

Iphone is great but it lacks basic phone features like video calling the ringer is low and call reception is bad I just hate mines because theirs a dead spot on my screen with blackberry its better as a phone but I prefer the iphone because if the app store some amazing games on there.
If you want to play games definitely go with the Iphone. I have a BB and there aren't many great games for them. Plus the BB pearls T9 is probably the worst thing i've ever had to type with.
