My friend actually jumped out of a moving car, he got road rash on his arms and face and broke his ankle. It was for a reason, he actually was being kidnapped and this was shortly after he had just gotten his ass beaten. The guy was taking him to his friends house so they could beat his ass more. So he jumped out and got the police.

WELL: Depending on how you land, you'd smash your head against the ground, ripping the very flesh from your face, sustain irrepairable damage to every part of your head, lose your hearing or eyesight or both, probably break your head wide open and bleed to death. That or break quite alot of bones in your body. Or Both combined. You could snap your damn neck. You could be crushed by 3 more cars. You could fall off of the highway. You could falll off of the bridge and land in the water (or traintracks and get smashed, crushed, or thrown by a train) Nothing.(VERY unlikely for this to happen. :| Sorry I had to tell you folks.......

I stood on the back of a friend's truck once while he was driving down to the gym in high school. He was going about 10 MPH, and i decided to jump off the back and run the rest of the way. Ow. I learned that you have to be ready to move before you hit. You do NOT come to a complete stop without a little pain...

Thats exactly what I was thinking, actually. But given my friends reactions to the first attempt, I was more afraid of what they would do to me than what the road would :lol:
Well I have done that... The thing is you never realize how fast the vehicle is really going. When I was in the car it was only going 10 miles per hour, when I jumped I thought it was going like 50. It's one of those things that sound fun on paper., but as soon as you actually do it, you're like "Oh crap what have I done".
Ok, so I've had this happen once. I have a very stupid friend, who was very drunk in college. Had to go to the bathroom, we wouldn't stop the car (were only 3 miles to where we were going) and on a military base so were driving like 15-20. He opens the back passenger door, rolls out and down the grassy hill. After we saw he was standing, and stopped laughing we turned around to pick him up. He only said one sentence, "take me back home". Went to ER that night, broken ribs, punctured lung, concussion, and various other injuries. Don't try it. Like I said we might have been going 20 max, and he landed in all grass.
