Take the ToU and throw it in the trash and replace it with a set of discriminate rules that don't require any interpretation and have a rule that supports jokes and humour.
I'd take out Sports Discussion and replace it with a time travel machine and go back to thr 30's and fight Zombie Nazis with a ray gun I picked up from 2872 (where I'd have gone first, of course.
I would remove System Wars, include a category based structure to the topics in Off-Topic where you can categorize topics as "religion, politics, relationships, etc." and users could edit their viewing preferences. The same goes for General Games Discussion, except they should be categorized by system like "Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, etc.". They might as well combine all of the boards.
I support the idea of no regulation/moderation unless it turns into spam, where one is blocked from communicating to others etc. I joined on 2005 and boy do I remember the crazy system wars bouts were just so fun. The best thing about no Regulation/Moderation was the fact that those who acted like #(! got treated like %$*es because everyone saw their posts, and everyone could then start ragging on the guy who acted like an *&# in the first place. It's true Justice.
Not much, I love gamespot the way it is,though I would do something about Unions and UCB's because I have seen and belonged to a few good ones but they usually die quick. At least make it harder to make a union or something,or give incentive to keep it going.

I wonder if this would be a good time to point out that simply quoting another user without actually writing anything falls under the definition of "Disruptive Posting" per the ToU...? Doing it twice in one thread certainly would. Fortunately, this particular mod has a distinct sense of irony to go along with his distinct sense of humor and never moderates after he's been drinking. Of course if he WASN'T drunk and DIDN'T have a sense of humor and/or irony, he might point out that bashing and advocating the overthrow of the moderator community in the same post as you commit a ToU violation might be considered a rather silly thing to do. Which just goes to show...we aren't THAT strict.
Either merge General Games Discussion with System Wars, or get rid of each individual console forum. They don't get enough activity. Make all the console boards general discussion, and have three forums. OT, GGD, and SW.

This... I wonder how many times I haven't posted something because someone might find that joke offensive.... Or remove banning from punishments, and instead people loose points and get a minus level. Like be moderated a few times and you end up at level -5
