To anyone who says time travel, I just want to point out, say you travel five minutes into the future, while you did this, the world itself would have rotated thousands of miles beneath your feet. To be an effective time traveler (ie, doing it more than once), you'd have to travel through space (3dimensions), or teleport as well.Shrapnelled

What if you were Eddie Brock? Or Cletus Kasady? Or Patrick Mulligan? Or any of the countless others? Come now, you seem to be up on your Spidey knowledge. The symboite greatly amplifies the attributes of its host. It attached to Spider-Man hence learned the web shooting, spider-reflexes, spider-sense, strength etc etc. So after it left Spider-Man it still had such knowledge to pass onto others, i.e Brock. Just a clean untouched symboite of your own would only make you more angry... Or according to the film, make you lose the concept of consequences i.e rip-off Red-K Clark...
