you're never "off limits". When you're in a relationship or married, there's only a virtual barrier. You can still fool around with other people. Just be ready for the consequences.

I think if she's engaged she's found the one she wants to be with.
She's engaged TO BE married :|. She's clearly in a committed relationship and therefore off-limits.

You do know she has a choice, don't you? I'm assuming the TC isn't planning on kidnapping her. If she says "no", oh well, at least he tried. If she says "yes", it's a good thing he asked before she threw her life away by marrying the wrong dude.
absolutely not off limits. Marriage isn't that promise to be miserable with one person forever. It's not even a promise to promise that. It's a desperate cry for help.

not always though. a relationship can sometimes just be for fun. doesn't always have to be someone you'll spend your life with.
Of course the person is off-limits... she just announced she chose the person she's getting married with, if they don't mess up before the wedding ~ de arimashou :P
Sorry, but I'm finding it pretty difficult to agree with most of the views here. The idea of somebody being "off limits" because of a wee bit of metal wrapped around their finger seems kinda extreme. A person isn't a piece of property after engagement and if they choose to continue thinking and feeling for themselves then all the better. People are encouraged to swallow all their doubts about marriage when very often they most need time to seriously think. A very close relative voiced her own doubts to several people, which were then dissmissed as pre-wedding nerves. 6 months after the wedding she is deeply miserable and feels trapped and cheated by those who should have listened most closely.
If a relationship is really so strong, then it won't fall apart because of an outsider's feelings. If it's not so strong, then why on earth are the couple getting themselves into a contract they can't both keep?
off limits man...life isnt a porno or a movie, cant just bag a girl and bang em if they have a ring on their finger. if you think the girl would get with you when shes going to get married your living in a false reality.
Marriage always seemed a bit weird anyway. Ok, you can promise to be faithful until you're dead, but can you actually promise to love someone forever? All a bit warped, like nailing yourself into your own coffin, but just my view.

I personally don't see any particular type of relationship or marriage as a means of off-limits.
well kinda and kinda not. its not wrong if maybe you see each other and spend time with her and stuff but if you guys are making out and having sex behind her fiancee's back then it is definately wrong. really though if she is willing to cheat then you are kinda doing her fiancee a favour. why cheat and hurt somebody when you can simply end it and move onto a new relationship:?
why does everyone treat the hypothetical girl like a poor, defenseless lamb? If she wants to reject some creeps advances she can, but doesn't mean she should be forbidden from falling in love.
I have a friend who's chasing a girl with a bf, and he comes off as such a douchebag doing so. I say you should respect her, and her boyfriend. How would you feel if you got her, and some douchebag was flirting with her and trying to steal her from you?
