[QUOTE="SolidSnake35"]The funniest difference, in my opinion, is that you call a fringe, (the front part of your hair)... bangs. It sounds so wrong. A bang is a loud noise. :PSolidSnake35

I call them bangs, lol. All black people I know call them bangs.

If you were referring to one person, would you call the front part of their hair a bang, or bangs? For example, she has a nice bang or she has nice bangs. Personally, I'd say she has a nice fringe. :P

If it's one bang then we say "That's a nice bang". If you have a bang that is split down the middle and going to each side of your face they are bangs; plural. Lol.

Oh, well we use singular and plural, lol. You can have one continuous BANG or two split BANGS.

From that Wikipedia article posted:

the now outdated English "public school" practice of "**ging" where a younger boy acted as an unpaid servant for an older boy.

INTERESTING FACT OF THE DAY:

Did you know that Band-aid isn't a real word its a brand name used for bandages by a company called band-aid. People just started using the word a lot so it came out to be sort of a slang word for bandages

americans (yes possibly canadians too i'm just generalising) call them Bandaids, whereas us Brits call them plasters.

Obviously i'm easily amused.

GenTom

That's....funny? So. And many people call them "bandages" here too. Band-Aid is a brand name.

'erbs sounds really common. I imagine many people here in the UK say it like that too, for that reason.
