Dude, songs can vary within a certain genre. I still think it would be fair to call both of those grunge.

Quit making it sound like all grunge songs have to sound as heavy and whatever as Negative Creep to be grunge music. Bands like Soundgarden and Alice and Chains are also considered grunge bands, and most of their songs don't sound like Negative Creep.

lol. People arguing about who sounds grunge and who doesn't. Grunge is just a label the media tacked onto a scene from Seattle, sure they have SOME musical qualities alike but really it was really just a close pool of post-hardcore guys playing music together, the media wasn't famillier with this at the time so they just lumped them together. In the early 90's you could A. Play something that sounded remotely "grungy" or B. come from Washington state, they would lump you in with grunge. Simple as that.

I've always been a fan, but for months now I've really been listening my ass off. Still haven't overdone it. I mostly listen to different live performances now. The studio stuff had been getting old for a while.

Led Zeppelin? Now that's a band I've totally burned myself out for years now.

It's weird. Nirvana is not bad or anything, but I've never been able to bring myself to give a sh!t about any of their songs, not even Smells Like Teen Spirit.

Even if it wasn't a huge hit, I'd still hate it. It's close to garbage. IMO, of course.

Most people feel like Nirvana would not be nearly as acclaimed if it weren't for Kurt Cobain's death. I actually agree with this, however there is no denying Nirvana's influence and impact on the music industry at the time.

Nirvana is one of my favourite bands of all time. It's hard for me to find a band that mixes Punk, Pop and Metal all into one awesome package. There basically isn't anything to be said about them that hasn't been said already. I leave it off with an unreleased song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKa-TDRJs54

Eh....it helped continue the legacy long after the music died....but really the band WAS really popular while he lived. Some bands take a larger than life legend.....Joy Division....and I love them....certainly did after Ian Curtis' suicide.....hell The Beatles did and they all lived.

That's what I'm saying. As long as you're saying they left a legacy before those two died. Making sure you're not claiming that none of them died. Don't know why you wouldn't know that, but still.
