I think i may be an Atheist

Well during the past few days

I have really been doubting the existance of god

And i dont think an god who loves his "creation" would just banish them to hell if they dont live by his rules

I also dont see how anyone can get into heaven with the strict commmandments

How about we just live our lives and not worry about what happens when we die until that time comes.

Well keep reading and learning. I thought the same thing at 18, at 34 I'm more sure there's no God than ever, but I keep trying to learn and keep an open mind. But today, the thought of an all powerfull knowing God is laughable, to me.

then wouldn't it be easier to not believe in hell, or the christian ideals of god.

Saying you don't believe in god because hell doesn't make sense is like saying you don't like horror movies cause Alien Vs Predator was a huge dissapointment.

If you don't hate religion your more than likely agnostic or choose to be neutral!

I went through a period like yours before, I changed on my own though, I don't like going to church so what I'm still religious and love God.

Technically, I was always agnostic, I just have an atheist agnostic leaning.

Also, I find that making people happier is preferable.

Just to break your sterotype I'm 34, married with 3 kids, have a high paying job, love my family, sports & video games, have fantastic parents, and I'm fascinated by religion, study it all the time. But I'm still an Atheist, and proudly.

Here's my opinion.

I beleive god always existed. The reason we cant comprehend that is because he created space and time (in which we live in). Thus i beleive god exist outside of space and time.Just my take on it anyway. PLus it seems more plausible that we were Intelligently created and didnt just explode out of nothingness.
