I did too, but I grew a bit out of Green Day's music. But I still like to listen to Green Day once in a while, but when I do, it's their older stuff most of the time.
The problem with that song and the album was that it was everywhere in the media all the time. First time I heard it, I didn't like it because it's not my kind of music but later on I actually started to hate it and hated people for listening to it because of the media.
