What's changed? Is Bethany still around?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Nothing, go away for another 8.
lol, I doubt this site is still gonna be here by then. :P Though it'd be great if it was, and an all new transformed revived site with great traffic again, but of course, I'm sure that's sadly just wishful thinking/a fantasy.
Also I can tell the Thread Creator is a fan of the Beach Boys, and likes the song Kokomo. He even knows what year the song came out. :P
A lot has changed. Lots of people have come and gone (more gone now) and the community isn't as hopping as it once was. That, and Gamespot staff doesn't seem to care about the forum community much, if at all anymore. Unions are dead. Most boards except System Wars are essentially dead.
You didn't post here regularly anyway.....if at all.
He didn't live on OT, unlike you
i've posted in OT since 2006 (with different ids) and i believe the only thing that's really changed is us.

Then I guess I'd know....duh. Stupid comment dude.

Everything you said is spot on, hell I thought of leaving this place last year!!!

I think that by "here" he meant OT...which, according to you, is correct =P
If you ask me OT (and possibly also the rest of the site) really started transforming into a dumpster since pretty much 2012 hit, and if not early 2012 then definitely late 2012.
@kokomo88: Bethany was laid off years ago, along with many other staffers, including most recently, Ryan McDonald, who was the last of the original GS staff from 1996. Andrew Park was let go in 2011, Ricardo Torres quit just months prior. Brian Eckberg left in 2010. Jeff Gerstmann was terminated in 2007, and you probably already know that whole story by now. Gregg Kasavin, the best reviewer and writer the site ever had, left in early 2007 to become a game developer and make Bastion and Transistor. Times change, and sadly Gamespot lost its greatness.
@LJS9502_basic:
LJ still a douche, nothing much has changed indeed.
Irony at it's finest. Take a look in the mirror dude.
I haven't been here in along time too , not years but still, like half a year. I visited the site recently, wanted to post a topic and it just gave me an error. :| The site went downhill, at least for me, ever since that big site change, I think in october 2013.
I remember quite a few from this thread, although it's harder now since most have different sigs , avis. Site is slowly but surely dying. :|
Edit: and I can't believe we still can't use emoticons.
