If it is serious, then you should see a psychiatrist. If you are just depressed sometimes, then maybe you should go outside and do something, like jog or do sports. That might make you feel better.

Getting a life would help. Other than that, just kill people, especially small children. It worked for me.

Either watch Youtube Poop videos or you should try spending quality time with people who care for you, such as your family or a significant other.

YouTube Poop. They're not actual poop videos...but rather videos made for the intent of humor (I don't find them that funny, aside from a select few).

I never said you were spoiled. Thats probably the reason you are depressed. False sense of reality. Another thing that would help you is to get a life though.

Do something to take your mind off of it. For me hanging out with friends, family, etc really helps. Activities help as well, like ill play counter strike or watch a movie/show, going outside or to the gym helps me as well. Idk if you are always depressed I would talk to someone about it, but if it's sometimes, that's just normal, everyone gets depressed every now and then. Is there anything in particular that is depressing you? like a girl, school, family, etc?

If you dont care then why post in the topic, selfish.

To the TC, if your depressed dont be cause every cloud has a silver lining. Go out and do something fun, look forward to something good no matter how small it is, dont let words or other people's opinions let you down. Just be proud of yourself and go do something you enjoy.

I usually am too if I'm not with good friends because of what I think about when I'm alone.

Talking about it with someone else helps some people.  You may also want to try keeping yourself busy during your free time.  And, in all seriousness, some "alone time" can be just what you need.  But if you are constantly depressed, you may want to see someone about it.

Music helped me a great deal when I went through a phase like that a couple of years ago. Find some songs that you relate to or that you love and sing along, even if only in your head. Things may not be that great right now, or possibly even anytime soon, but they will get better eventually. Hang in there, okay?

Don't be alone. Go stay in the same room with someone else. When you're alone, you can begin to dwell on negativity. Take a hot shower and be thankful for what you've got in life. Things could be worse. Just attempt to block out and forget negative thoughts. Go running if it helps. Good luck.

Lots of inmature people in this thread... Listen to music, draw, exercise, play a game, read, anything to keep your mind busy. :)

Also eating sometimes can make you happy. But dont use eating to center you that much or youll gain weight.

Welll first off ignore the haters in this thread. Depression is a serious issue and coming from someone who was seriousilly depressed for 4 years and constantly thought about suicide let me just say. Your not gonna be sad forever. just take steps towards improving your life and you will start to feel better.Find a passion or hobby or set some goals for yourself. Find something bigger to work towards and in the mean time just do small things that are fun like play games listen to music hang out with freinds ect.

I don't know your situation TC but talking always helps . Its all about finding the right person weather that person is a freind or someone else. If you wanna talk more about it you can always PM me TC.

Go outside smell the air and just come back inside and do something fun. Hope you feel better TC. :)

You don't always feel better instantly. God knows I didn't. Their is always something you can do to make yourself feel better you just need to examine your life and take steps towards getting to where you wanna be. If you always feel sad it amay be a sign of something deeper and whilst talking to freinds may be all you need sometimes you may wanna consider proffesional help. Now I'm not saying YOU need to do this I'm just saying different stroks for different folks and we all need to be aware of what we need to do even if it makes us uncomfortable.

You guys need to find something in your lives that don't make you depressed. What do you guys like and play of that. Whenever I get a little sad, I think to myself why? Why get depressed when life goes by so fast. Why? when I can do something with my life.

I'm fascinated with the Universe and that gets me smiling again.

well, whatever you do, don't take prescription drugs for the problem, because they only make things worse.  I know someone who considers herself bipolar,  So she takes some medicine to make her "happy".  The thing is, she is sad when she is not doped up, so she is perpetually on antidepresants just so she can live her day to day life without being a grumpy, depressed sour witch.  Drugs are never good for you, because they make you hate reality all the more.

That being said, I often count my blessings if I ever need a reminder to enjoy life again.  Simply get a pen and some paper and jot down all the things you should be thankful for.  Things are not always as bad as they seem when you consider the good.

What is it that causes it? Lack of friends, loss of childhood, past failures, plain boredom, crisis of faith?

Firstly go to a counsellor, they could really help, just being able to talk to somebody where you can just let go completely and say whatever you want, remember to be completely honest but if you really need it, then a psychiatrist.

As somebody has said, unless you are honest, you cant go anywhere, if you are shy, then make a new account, or better yet, go to a counsellor

Figure out what is causing the depression and try to fix it. If it's over a girl, well that will take time and nothing else.
