So how old do you think is too old to post on a video gaming site such as gamespot? Opinions anyone?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
i dont really think there is an age which you could define as too old, i mean the staff who run gamespot arent exactly young and ive seen them post on the forums on a few occasions
Dead.
Unless they have wi-fi in Heaven, then you're good for eternity.
What if your body takes the form of you below 13 years of age in heaven? An eternity without Gamespot...if you talk about the good ol' days all the time, or use the phrase "kids these days" you may be on your way to being too old for gaming. but in general, age is just a number. there's no limit. this is not Logan's Run (although referencing that movie may make me too old...)
You are never too old for gaming, some people just get too caught up on their ages and freak. I say get over it and have some fun! But logans run, I better hide as I am almost 30. *Hides*if you talk about the good ol' days all the time, or use the phrase "kids these days" you may be on your way to being too old for gaming. but in general, age is just a number. there's no limit. this is not Logan's Run (although referencing that movie may make me too old...)

BTW, the remake of that movie comes out next year. So just say you mean the remake and claim you are a teenager.if you talk about the good ol' days all the time, or use the phrase "kids these days" you may be on your way to being too old for gaming. but in general, age is just a number. there's no limit. this is not Logan's Run (although referencing that movie may make me too old...)

I don't think it really matters, as long as your 13+. Anyone younger than that should probably stay away.
Haha oh man it would be hilarious if all our grandparents started posting on gamespot... just think about that for a second.

is it really?
i'm not sure if i should be happy or sad.
The first time you read an insanely funny/witty comment you have posted and realize "wow.... this is ****ing stupid" is the moment you have become too old for OT.
yabbicoke
Although that could also be the result of PMS ;).
This thread is ironic.
I was told today that I am too old to be posting on a gaming forum. To which I asked, "Why?" and no reasonable answer was given. I think as long as GS has great people, and the riff-raff keep getting banned then I say keep on posting. People seem to think that talking to people via the interwebz is crazy or juvenile. I have no idea why, but they are entitled to their opinions.
Ok, I was just told posting on GS is similar to being in diapers. Eventually you have to stop, and grow out of it. I just lost a little respect for my GF. However, she is a technophobe.
She's kinda right unless you just come for certain users in OT you'll out grow the gaming and tech parts of the site and move on to a more hardcore site.Ok, I was just told posted on GS is similar to being in diapers. More confusing, really, seeing as they're dead.Haha oh man it would be hilarious if all our grandparents started posting on gamespot... just think about that for a second.

I have seen other internet forums (NEOGAF, Gamepro, Shoryuken,, etc.), and they are great for browsing but I have no interest in the communities. There are times I am disappointed in the community of GS but, as of yet, I have seen nothing that makes me want to move to another forum.Ok, I was just told posted on GS is similar to being in diapers. You are never too old to post on a video game website, or to play video games in general.
22, anything above that is just a little bit weird..
