How fast can OT type?

So OT, how fast can you type? Basicly I mean, using your adverage keyboard, how many words can you type a minute?

Me, Im not sure, the last time I was tested on it (5 years ago I believe), i could type 60 words a minutes.

If you dont know how many words you can type, take a guess or take this test. Also, please post so that OT can know which users are the faster or slower typers.

Just took this test and got 61. I could probably do a good bit better on a second or third try. I got a bit tripped up on the numbers since I need to look at the keyboard to type out numbers.

I just took a test and got 51 wpm, I did really bad though, so my average is probably more around 60-65. I also type much faster when I know what I want to say rather than typing something back that I'm reading.

I just took a test and got 55wpm. I think that's about right, if not a bit faster. I churn out pages rather quickly, since typing stories is what I do 80% of the time I am on my computer.

I've never timed myself. I am decent at typing but not super fast. Try typing of the dead. Fun game.

I got 50 wpm

85 (with one error). That's a lot faster than I thought I would get, honestly.

I got 61 wpm.

I can usually do about 60 WPM.

I can type a little bit faster than any one of you can think.

35 wpm for the austronaut one and 51 for the baseball one. A lot lower then i expected but when i know what i want to say im usually faster.

I got 46 on the Wizard of Oz one because I made five mistakes.

I got 36, which is a lot worse than ususal becuase I've been using my (non-fullsize) laptop keyboard for a week and just got back to the fullsize desktop one.

Normally I get like 50.

Edit: Just took the Wizard of Oz test and I got 66 wpm. The average typing speed is only 36 wpm. Well, now I know my typing speed when certain job applications ask me for my typing speed.

I got 57 WPM for astronauts and then got 70 for Aesop. The astruonaut one tripped me up because everything three words they had some kind of weird punctuation I would never need lol. Typing is a lot easier when I know what I'm going to say too and I don't have to interpret a bunch of words in front of me then type them.

I just took the test and i got 35

I still look at the keyboard when I type (even though I don't really have to). Plus i type al ot faster when I just type what is in my head ratehr than reading a text and copying it. I got an awful 27 wpm on the test though. I would say I'm at about to 45-50 typing normally

49 words per minute because I'm an absolute numpty at typing. I think I'm a mite faster when the words are coming out of my own head though.

Not fast at all. Maybe 30-40 words a minute? That's just a guess.

i tend to get around the 111 wpm mark but if i dont focus on spelling and just go for the overall word then i can hit 125.xTheExploited

It's not because I don't believe you, but could you please do the 3 minute astronaut test as linked in the OP and screenshot your result within the next 10 minutes of this post, thus leaving you little time to retry it or warm up? (:

Taking that astronaut test above I got about 90 WPM.

72 Words Per Minute, but I can type faster when I type what I'm thinking instead of copying something on a screen, So I'm probably in the 75+ Range.

i took the test and got 63 WPM with 1 mistake, so i wouldve had 64 WPM

Darling, the + after the 76 means that anything (even a thousand) would fall into that category. :P

yea but it needed to say +++++ so I got a little confused as to what to pick..;)..oh and im kidding..I can only type 999 words a min..:D

I took that test, in the Enchanted Typewrite category and got an average of 78 words per minute :)

you should probably chose the poll option "75 or more words a minute" but then again, that would just be a lie. Take the test and I just might believe you.
