Ok I'm NOT trying to start a martial arts debate here, and honestly I am not a practitioner of any internal disciplines so I am not trying to promote internal martial arts here or say it is better than any external martial art.
What I'm trying to say is this: Tai Chi--It works right? I mean, not the ones you see being practiced in the park, but the actual applicable form of Tai Chi. That whole martial art is based off a strong center of gravity and supposedly 'redirecting' force from the opponent into the ground and/or back at him.
Then, the "Iron Body" skill that you see Shaolin Monks practice. It's actually works too, and has been documented on stuff like National Geographic and whatnot, right? The practictioners break spears using their throat, or push a van using 5 spears, tip first into the stomach. Even if you claim it's not razor sharp, it still has enough force over pressure to puncture your throat or cause significant marking on the bodies.
The examples I mentioned above just a few. So after seeing these things, what is the jusitification for these 'abilities' if not internal energy?
