My friends live in the countryside, their hobbies include golf and pigeon killing.
Oh and insects don't count. But everything else does.

I was leaving my driveway when a field mouse ran in front of me and I hit it. . . I slowed down and checked to see if it was injured, and it appeared to be still alive but was laying on the ground and bleeding from the nose :( I was heartbroken, but I also didn't have the guts to put it out of it's misery. When i returned later that night it was gone, so I guess a bird got it.
So yes, I have, and even though it was a tiny mouse I feel bad about it.
On my way into town today there was a deer on the side of the highway that had been hit by a car. . . I can't even imagine how bad THAT would feel.
Grew up hunting in the country. I have killed more animals than I could possibly count. Ate most of them too.marcus4hire
tastes like chicken ? :P
The biggest thing I have ever deliberately killed is a gerbil. I killed it for my pet snake to eat, and I thought I would be ok but I cried afterwards for ages!! I felt awful. Obviously in the past I have killed things like spiders and ants and snails.
Technically I have killed something every time I put meat into my trolley at the supermarket, because I am paying for it to be killed. And I would go shooting, not for fun but to eat what I catch.
