The closest I've come to dying was when I had a pulmonary embolism...I don't know if I really came "close" to dying when I had it, though.

Well, I've never had a spiritual near death experience or anything. I didn't "see the light." Once I was riding my bike and I fell off of it in the middle of the street and a car came really close to running over my head.

Yea, kind of. I was in a situation where it could have possibly turned into death. I was riding in my friends car, and he decided to drift around this one corner on this little back road with no guardrails. :? Well some how or another he lost control and we almost went flying into the surrounding trees at about 55mph, but he kept it from going off the road and we ended up just doing a 360, and then proceeded to get out of the car in shock of what just happened.

Twice, I guess. When I was being born both me and my mum nearly died, but an emergency caesarian saved us both. Then, when I was 18 months or something, I had an allergic reaction to a vaccination. I stopped breathing, went blue and had to be resusciated. At least it meant I never had to have injections with my classmates. ;)

Yes acually quite a few... there was one time when I was swimming and I stupidly was trying to show off for these girls and I jumped a cliff. The water wasn't deep enough and I woke up in the hospital. Luckily I just had a small hole in my stomach. Then another time was a dirt bike wreck. I was racing my friend on the highway: dirtbike VS quad and again how stupid... A car was turnin out I didn't see it, I then saw it and flew off the road. I ramped off a slanted rock and did a backflip with the dirt bike. Again thank god I had my friends with me they brought me to the hospital. (YET again!) I have more but not nearly as close.

I nearly drowned as a five year old after being caught in a rip. Don't remember much but was definitely getting hard to stay above water.

Yes, in fact I shouldn't be alive right now cause I was born premature (6 months instead of 9) and the doctors said that anything could kill me even the slightest breeze, and I got an "infection" on my right leg so the doctors were afraid to cure the "infection" because I could die, but they did it and it was a miracle that I survived.

That sounds similar to mine, but he was going 70 trying to beat 1 o clock curfew and he overcorrected into the ditch. It was amazing his car wasn't more damaged and neither of us were hurt.

Once a dog attacked me in a park, scared the crap out of me. I had to kill it, I had to get some shots, I got some bruises, but other then that I was alright. Only time I've ever been significantly hurt.

actually i almost died two days ago. riding with my friend, he didnt stop at a stop sign crossing a highway and if he didnt stop when i yelled we would have been crushed by going uder the trailer. he did hit the front of the truck but not as bad if i hadnt yelled.

a second time was me and two other friends were egging houses back in the day on halloween and i was on the back of the truck with a friend. i threw an egg and it hit a window and busted it and my friend driving floored it. i went flying backwards off the truck head first and my friend caught me and pulled me in. would have broke my neck for sure. thank god my friend had quick reflexes. hope nothing else happens till my time when i am 90.

When I was like 8 I fell off a tank at a war memorial and could have broken my neck if I had landed just a little differently. I did fall on my neck, but not severe enough to break anything, was just knocked unconscious and had to go the hospital and stuff.

There was this one time I slipped on my porch steps and caught myself right before my neck hit one of them, that was kinda scary. Other then that there have been a few occasions where some cars stupidly wouldn't stop at some lights when I was crossing, but nothing serious like a lot of people on here have been through.

Last Wednesday, my friends and I were at the park, and a yellow jacket landed on my shirt. I'm deathly allergic to yellow jackets, to the point that I would need a shot within fifteen minutes of being stung or face entering a coma. My friends wouldn't knock it off of me, because they didn't want to be responsible for my being stung. Finally, one of them braved up and whacked me with his hoodie, and I took off running. It worked.

I nearly drowned once. But my dad saved me, I was very young, but I still remember that quite clearly.

Also once I was riding a bike with a friend of mine, he stopped me at a road, and right when I stopped a car came driving past very fast. Dont know if that would have killed me, but I dont think it would have been pleasant.

I also drove with my bike into a bridge once, by accident :) My safety helmet was smashed completely, so let that be a lesson, no matter how ugly a helmet like that makes you look, it can save you.

Yeah when I was a little kid I went to the beach and I was kinda swimming around(I didn't know how to swim so I just walked on the sea floor back then), and my foot got tangled in seaweed and I almost drowned. I forgot how I survived though...

I was walking near a river with my family. We were looking for cool driftwood to put in our backyard as decoration, and I saw what I thought was a rope. I reached down to pick it up when I realized it was a rattlesnake and I sprinted back to the car. I stayed inside for like 3 days after that. Also, I have had many near crashes in cars, where there was almost a huge crash but it was missed for one reason or another.

I was shot in the back once during a trip to Ireland a few years back, I was 14. I was visiting some relatives that I have never met before with my family when some Catholic/Protestant violence erupted across the street a 9mm entered in my lower should and exited out the top. I lost a ton of blood and it split my shoulder blade, but I pull through after getting rushed to a nearby hospital. Suffice to say, that was probably the most influential moment of my life. Made my decide that I want to join the USMC to suppress any and all pointless violence in the world.

The closest I've come is a potentially fatal car accident. All I got was a burn from the airbag though. Another time I was almost hit head-on by a drunk driver (I assume they were drunk).

Alright Mr. all mighty wisdom, you have probably never even been out of your bedroom let alone seen other parts of the world. You must understand reality before you can institute ideals.
