Have any of you ever went cone-ing before? If you don't know what cone-ing is, this video(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WygNjMSllLQ) will give you a pretty good idea. I think it's hysterical, but not everyone shares that view unfortunately. Here's a video(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQqjYRi1JOI)that me and my friends made of us cone-ing.

For some reason I can't link the URL's. Glitchspot strike's again8).

I don't think some people here realize that it's funny becasue it's dumb, random, and completely ridiculous. So get off your sophisticated high chair and learn to live a little. The user's this post is directed at should be pretty obvious by the way.

I have a pretty broad sense of humor. Most might even say it's on the immature side. That isn't funny. He bought a cone, and squished it. That's not funny even in the slightest.

Worst yet is that someone will find a way to get killed doing this, like planking, and many will gasp when the teenage world screams to mourn.. and Rorschach from The Watchmen saying.. "No..".

Christopher Walkens SNL cowbell skit can be called dumb, random, and completely rediculous. But it was funny. In the end, I do not think it is about a high horse. Just that many just find it dumb and not funny. Why show offense?

I find the humour in the way the McDonald's employees react to someone doing something as straightforward as grabbing an ice cream cone and doing it in the exact opposite way you'd expect. If you don't find it funny, then fine, it's just you seem to be purposely missing the humour by saying "He squished icecream...".

It's the reaction of the people at the drive-thru windows. That's why there are so many cone-ing fail video's on youtube. Becasue most of the time you don't get a good reaction. But when you do, it's truly special. And then there are reactions like this(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlFrnzQEKHs)that are especially funny. I think you in particular can appreciate this one.

P.S.- And again, I can't link the URL. Anyone having this problem today?

I think we understand the randomness but random or doing something you aren't supposed to do doesn't instantly make something funny. What's the next fad going to be, brushing your teeth with the toothbrush handl? Driving your car around town in reverse?

The reason I take offense is not because they don't find it funny, but because they purposely demean everyone in the thread that does find it funny by putting on a superiority act. It's unnecessary and accomplish's nothing.

It doesn't take much superiority to be above finding cone-ing funny. It's not deep, it's not subtle, it not even really random because it's pre-meditated and is a popular fad.

I actually found the More Cowbell skit funny and off beat, but, I also found it ironic. As someone who likes the band being played and the song being recorded it was ironic due to the fact that cowbell is in said song, even though it was originally recorded without any cowbell whatsoever.

Yeah, every time I try to link something I get an error that says something like:

  1. - Tag a may not have attribute rel
  2. - If you are copying from a word processing software, try pasting the text into a plain text editor (e.g., Notepad) first.
  3. - If problems persist, try disabling the WYSIWYG editor in your preferences.

Any idea's why this is?

Did you even see the code when you quoted me? What browser are you using? I use Opera when at home, but for some odd reason I cannot log into GS with it on my laptop so I use IE. I have no problem using the [*url=][*/url] tags.

No, I haven't. Why would anyone waste their money buying a cone then ruin it like that? The very idea of it boggles my mind.

[QUOTE="CreasianDevaili"] Christopher Walkens SNL cowbell skit can be called dumb, random, and completely rediculous. But it was funny. In the end, I do not think it is about a high horse. Just that many just find it dumb and not funny. Why show offense? Crazyguy105

The reason I take offense is not because they don't find it funny, but because they purposely demean everyone in the thread that does find it funny by putting on a superiority act. It's unnecessary and accomplish's nothing.

If you're going to do something that makes you look stupid, be prepared to be called stupid. That's all.

I'm not sure where you're going with this. Are you saying that it's stupid to insult someone's sense of humor?

He's probably made more money than the value of the cones. I didn't see how many views/subs he had so I don't know for sure.

I was reffering to the people who mimic him, because there have to be people who do it out there.

[QUOTE="WhiteKnight77"]

You mean linked? No. Then again, I write the code out myself.

WhiteKnight77

Yeah, every time I try to link something I get an error that says something like:

  1. - Tag a may not have attribute rel
  2. - If you are copying from a word processing software, try pasting the text into a plain text editor (e.g., Notepad) first.
  3. - If problems persist, try disabling the WYSIWYG editor in your preferences.

Any idea's why this is?

Did you even see the code when you quoted me? What browser are you using? I use Opera when at home, but for some odd reason I cannot log into GS with it on my laptop so I use IE. I have no problem using the [*url=][*/url] tags.

I use Google Chrome. And yes, I did see your code.
