Have you ever contacted a celebrity and received a reply?
I saw on a site that someone got a photo back signed from an actress.
I wondered if it was legitimate or not.
I wouldn't mind trying that some day.

I sent Arnold Schwarzenegger an e-mail and got an automated response that had nothing to do with the body of my e-mail.
So in a way, sort of, yes.

"Thank you for your intrest in my role as governer blah blah blah etc" It was a few years back, but that was the gist of it.

not a celebrity, but once i saw a british short film in tehran's short film festival and was blown away by it's greatness. i sent the director an email and he sent me a copyof his short film signed, which probably is the most spiritually expensive thing i own.

Apparently you are carrying a conversation with yourself.:?Alisa from The Naked and Famous replied to me on twitter and I've gotten into conversations with Deacon the Villain from Cunninlynguists on twitter. I would hardly call them celebrities though, they only have a couple thousand followers each.
I was also in a chat room with Hayley Williams once that lasted for about an hour.
Yes it can! But Aussie Pet doesn't count :(can tweeting a celebrity be considered here?

Why would I ever want to contact a human being for reasons other than my own benefit?
I've been trying to stay away from people.
I commented on the facebook page of the band Hurt and they responded due to a conversation they were having on the page about giving tickets away for the show in my hometown. I'm pretty sure it was them because after the show they stayed to meet everyone and some people brought the conversation up.
Before he passed away in 2010 I had several e-mail exchanges with Peter Christopherson, of the groups Coil, Throbbing Gristle, the Threshold HouseBoys Choir and Soisong. He was also a film director who did music videos for artists ranging from Sepultura, NIN and Ministry to Pink Floyd and Paul McCartney. And during the 1970s - early 1980s he was a partner at the graphic design firm Hipgnosis, who did many album covers during that period (probably one of Peter's most well known covers is Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here'). Not an extremely well known celebrity, but he got around. I also met Peter in person a few hours before a Throbbing Gristle show in Chicago in 2009.
Not really. But then again, I never make any effort to contact them since I'm not really into celebrities. I've had various Youtube users respond to me though...if that counts.
