I don't throw anything about, I tend to punch inanimate objects though.

I've never actually broken one, but I've thrown them before and punched them. I'm not strong enough to break them :P.
yeah, twice with a ps3 controller. i was drunk both times. once with street fighter 4 and then with ufc, both fighting games...and alcohol, hmmm. i've learned my lesson tho, controllers are expensive.
Oh God I went through countless PS2 controllers. I do believe Capcom owes me for freaking Devil May Cry 3....
I also actually managed to break a 360 controller thanks to Street Fighter 4. I got PO'd after having the freaking computer Zangief kill me by grabbing me when I was Fei Long and my foot was fully extended in a kick and he still somehow grabbed me in his hyper finisher or whatever the hell it's called BY GRABBING MY FOOT!!!! Was in some challenge I had been trying forever to beat and I had finally gotten farther than before and then that BS happend...
Broken several controllers. Damn near broke my big toe throwing a controller directly into it without looking. Broke a rumble pack. Broke my DS. Punched two dents in my door. I've calmed down a lot since then, as I don't throw or lash out violently, bu t I still cuss and yell a lot.JustPlainLucasYea, but we all know you can get a little heated at times :P I've never broken a controller, but I have tossed it a few times.

I have, however thrown the controller a few times. Heck, I did it last night. :P
I once split soda all over one of my Gamecube controllers back in the day because this one guy I was playing SSBM with pick up a hammer several inches from my character in sudden death and skyrocketed the poor fellow in a microsecond. Naturally,I chucked it at him and quite forgot about the cord and the Dr. Pepper next to me. Never worked since the sugar wipeout. :| Ah, well, that controller sucked anyway.

Oh, and I just remebered the leading cause of death of Wii controllers in my household (PS3 & XBox are too pricey to chuck around): Punch-Out!!, because, if I lose, I sometimes physically punch the screen. Ow.
voted for no because the only time I broke one it wasn't because I threw it, I was just playing fifa street and suddenly the joy stick broke
Well, I cracked the casing on one. It still works fine, for the most part. Otherwise the cabinet that my TV sits on is cheap wood and it has a door that doesn't close fully that I can pretty much treat like one of those boxer cordination training thingies for my foot. I don't get mad very often, but sports games tend to get me a little angry.
Nope, never have and never will. If I get frustrated while playing I just cry in a corner and come back after 10 minutes pumped to go at it again, the game that is.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma almost made me thrash my controller but I refrained. That's about the closest I've come I think.domatron23I never beat ninja gaiden 2:(
No, i have never broken, tossed, or smashed any gaming equipment or anything due to video game temper. The worse I do is curse...
No. Thought about it, though. Like with the Mirror's Edge time trials and chapter 2 speedrun.
But I have broken many controllers. I have like five broken Game Cube and PS2 airflow controllers that continued to break. Eventually I realized it was a waste and just used normal controllers.
Uh...no. Never.
I don't know why you guys play games, but I play them to have FUN. This is why I almost never play them these days, because I've ceased getting much fun out of them.
But yeah...for me they are supposed to be FUN. If I ever get so angry at a game that I'm even remotely considering smashing the controller or punching a hole in the wall, then I AM NOT HAVING FUN. By that point, I've simply stopped playing the damn game.
I don't know why the resat of you guys would allow yourselves to get so mad at a game that you start breaking ****. If you're that made, then the game has obviously stopped being any fun. So if the game isn't fun any more, then why the hell are you still playing it?
Oh my yes quite a few actually. The first one I remember breaking was an Atari joystick. I was playing a long marathon gaming session and got a bit peeved when my well worn down contacts didn't seem to be responding properly at which point I promptly ripped the stick right off of the base and threw it across the room. Since then many a controller has met their demise at my hands although I tend to have plenty of backup controllers.
