Yes, cuffed and chucked in the back of a police car, taken to station and questioned for hours.

Many, many times. All in the past though, I have not been arrested or in any trouble since 2003. Even that was only for marijuana possesion, which since I live in Canada, really wasn't a big deal. I got a $200 fine.

Yup! Me and a friend were really hyper and decided it would be fun to push a Wal-Mart shopping cart around with his car...we ended up damaging it. Wal-Mart had us arrested and had to sign a paper banning us from Wal-Mart for a year. We didn't serve any time for it or anything, but we did have to do some community service, pay court cost, and unsupervised probation.

Only major regret in my life so far.

Big department stores are pretty strict about people breaking the law in their stores. Most companys policies are essentially to call law enforcement and push for the maximum penalty. Easily one of the worst places to get in any kind of legal trouble even at a young age.  I've heard stories of department stores pushing for felony convictions on 18-21 year olds for shoplifting even after the items were returned. There is one department store that I absolutely refuse to ever shop at because of an instance like this. I didn't even know the person who was charged since I heard the story second-hand ,but it was enough to make me never want to give them any of my money.

I got arrested a number of times in junior high and high school for fighting, but they didn't make such a big deal of it back then and released me to my parents without ever having seen the inside of a cell. Nothing more than yet more phone-in probation.

I have a clean adult record, and I intend to keep it that way.

Do you think it's wise to believe second hand information? And shoplifting is a big problem which costs consumers money....I see nothing wrong with prosecution. Most times it's a fine anyway.

[QUOTE="Shottayouth13-"][QUOTE="travisstaggs"][QUOTE="Shottayouth13-"] Yeah I can imagine. That's not something anyone would want on their record.

Yeah, we thought of that and had it expunged,

Quite lucky. So you just simply asked them to remove it and they did?

No, we had to pay $300 to get it removed and still do the community service and pay the court cost.

Sort of. My high school constable caught me and my friends smoking weed on school grounds (It was very stupid, I know.) and held us in his office for a bit. Luckily we weren't charged and all we got was a three day suspension from the school, visit addiction counselling and had to work out with the cop for several weeks.

I doubt he instantly arrests every person he meets who have drugs on them. If they're a dealer yes, but the more common sense approach is to just take them away and caution them. Also if the drugs they possess are illegal then it's a crime.

He probably enjoys being a police officer in general as well as having a source of income. Something that probably wouldn't last long if he picks and chooses which laws to enforce simply for the purpose of satisfying the desires of a few people on an internet forum.

Just my opinion on what he means,

Some people, yes. If you can't get out if bed without a wake & bake, you have a problem. I know many people like this. Then if I happen to have weed on me, they follow me around like a dog begging for scraps. Gets fu*king annoying and kills the high.

More reason for it to be legal. People can go get it on their own whenever and not bother me.

I got pulled over once for apparently racing a cop. But when he pulled me over, it was right when he left his jurisdiction. Because of that, he didn't arrest me, but oh boy, he was pissed. JustPlainLucas
